Im just stunned by what a weak tool he has become. There was a chance there for a while but seems history will write about the two clueless out of touch Bush presidents...really ask yourselves freepers..what in Gods name has this guy given us??

"Bush could have chosen his gardener."

It's been done before. Chauncey Gardner was rather funny...and seemingly very astute.

Are there any real conservatives left that haven't been trashed by Republicans in the past couple of years?
------
Well I am waiting to hear from Anne Coulter on this latest pick -- (fresh popcorn popping right now!!!)

Savage is right, but I think he'd be p.o.'d if Bush did anything but clone Scalia and put his double in.
As for the nomination, she may turn out ok, but I think we deserve a sure thing. If we don't get it now, we never will!

Next thing we will find out is that Bush hasnt been doing anything about illegal aliens......

Yeah, Yeah, outside of millions crashing through our borders and finding those guys yesterday at the nuclear power plant, they have this problem under control.

Good point. They are really on the case!

Smart did say that she ran off. She did not say to the police who found her, "I was taken away."

I thought the whole Smart case was weird. Too many wacko moments altogether, including the uncle, the sister, the father.

Savage - I think I heard him once or twice on the radio.

Bush's pick: another self-inflicted wound. I am sure his pro-abortion wife and mother had something to do with placating the Dems.

"Amen. This is just plain wrong. Next thing we will find out is that Bush hasnt been doing anything about illegal aliens......" Lets not forget Bush's fiscal leadership. Its nice to know that under his watch spending has been brought under control.

I am not convinced of this choice by Pres. Bush, but I am not going to go screaming with outrage because I may not agree with the choice as of yet.

I`ll give the President some time to make the sale and when more info comes out I will then form an opinion. In about two weeks, we all will know much more about this choice.

Catherine Crier on her afternoon cable tv show was thrilled that conservatives were upset.

I think we are over reacting.. It is disappointing that many great jurist women were over looked but then again she might turn out to be very conservative like the late Chief Justice. I strongly believe she will interpert the Constitution as the founding fathers meant.

Why do Shumer, Boxer and Feinstein like her?

They all use the same hairdresser.

I wonder if her gender isn't a part of the reaction. If she were a 60 year old male top one hundred lawyer I wonder if that wouldn't change leave some people more open minded.

This bash-fest is ridiculous and self-destructive. Until Miers starts writing liberal opinions, I'm supporting her. No real reason to believe one of Bush's closest advisors who has been supporting him for years is a Souter. That would be total betrayal on her part, and by all accounts she is extremely loyal. I predict she will vote with Scalia and make alot of complainers look foolish.

"I stopped listening to Savage back when he said that Elizabeth Smart was just a little teenage slut who had run off with her boyfriend."

I'm just waiting for time to pass so our local Austin station can pull this maniac and replace him with Mark Levin (hopefully).

On this I agree with Savage. The Rebublicans need to send her back. That is asking the impossible of course.
