That's what I was thinking. But, but, maybe Bush knows how she will vote on all the important issues and that's why he nominated her.Wishful thinking on my part.

This makes no strategic sense. If she doesn't get confirmed, it will be conservatives (like myself) who sink her. If that happens, how would this strengthen the president for the next nomination?

W seems to want to please his enemies more than his friends. He schmoozes with Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton and throws Bill Bennett out the window. I'm sick and tired of him.

The Democrats aren't stupid enough to vote against a potential liberal on the Court like Myers. They probably still can't believe the President was stupid enough to nominate her.
