I find this part interesting "He could have indicted people all along the way if he'd had the goods on them and probably would have done so in order to secure cooperation."

The Grand Jury that Fitzgerald has been working on in Chicago has been indicted folks left and right throughout the process. He definitely uses it as a way to help get people to cough up info.

No, Chicago City Hall is very corrupt. He seems to be doing a very thorough job with no one really complaining about bogus indictments. That is why I do think it is interesting that no indictments came out over the last 2 years in Plamegate.

Are you talking about indictments in other cases? I am unaware of any indictments in the Plame affair.

Podhoretz must not have the same "sources" that George Stephy has....since Georgie mentioned that his source in the White House said that President Bush and VP Cheney were in the meetings that discussed this subject...

I am just repeating what a poster said she/he heard on Stephy's show this morning...

Also, how disappointed do you think that the dems and media will be IF Karl Rove ends up having NOTHING to do with this???? hehe

I doubt George Stehpywhatever has any real sources in the White House.

But I would not be surprised to find out the Admin discussed Wilson's claims. Why not? Wilson was making bogus claims. Or does Stehpy have a video of Bush and Cheney ordering Rove to use his mind control machine to get reporters to call and have those reporters ask about Wilson and why Cheney would send an unqualified person for the Niger investigation.

Fitzgerald has issued many indictments as part of a Chicago Grand Jury investigation (that has nothing to do with Plamegate). No indictments have been issed by the Plame Grand Jury.

Perhaps the reason that Miller came to "an agreement" with the prosecutor was to save her sorry self from some kind of indictment.

Makes sense. It seems to me that the only people possibily guilty of a crime in this case are Wilson, Plame, the DNC, and the leftist newspapers editors who set this whole thing up.

But it would be a big stretch to indict them. Reporters are given a lot of freedom to misbehave, and it would be impossible to indict Plame without getting others in the CIA involved for approving her nepotistic and possibly conspiratorial hiring of her own husband to do a job for which he was unqualified--which is unlikely to happen.

"Role of Rove, Libby in CIA Leak Case Clearer

As has been going on since this manufactured scandal has begun, the Washington Post is speculating about "What's Fitgerald is going to do?"

The story that Bush and Cheney Aides' Testimony Contradicts Earlier White House Statements, is bogus, and we already know that. From what I know and understand Mr. Pincus as well as possibly David Corn, and especially Matt Cooper should be contacting Judy to see what the food is like.

My position from the start of this story follows the oldest rule for investigations in the book.

1. Insure the premise is correct.

2. Stay on Premise.

In any investigation you sometimes begin looking at one thing (the original accusation) and then perhaps you find other things to play with along the way.

Yet in the final analysis the orginal premise is the focus.

The focus? CIA 'op' Valerie Wilson, had her cover blown, a violation of he Intelligence Identities Protection Act.

Alright, I am prepared to say that Fitzgerald isn't - nor hasn't been looking at that in a while. Why?

1. It's too vague and specific at the same time. But simply no one violated it.

2. Valerie herself was not covered by the law in the first place.

Now the facts. Valerie conspired with her husband and other anti-regime change ops in the CIA to discredit the President of the United States. Yes I do have evidence that this is in fact the case, but for now a re-read of this article will suffice.

Nothing I have read since this farce has begun has more completely explained the facts as I know them to be.

So with Judy Miller getting out a jail after spending 85 days for no apparent reason, because despite spin to the contrary she had clear approval from her source to testify.

The fact of the matter is that if anyone is indicted in this story they will be wearing press credentials.

And despite George Stephanopolus's flat out lying (he has no source), In fact, JPOD is correct on the outcome of the Plame Game.

Unfortunately there are going to be casualities, when this happens."

So with Judy Miller getting out a jail after spending 85 days for no apparent reason, because despite spin to the contrary she had clear approval from her source to testify.

Here's my belief.

Judy Miller went to jail pretending that she and the NYT were protecting their leak sources.

But, the reality is that the NYT and the mainstream media and the democrats have been on fishing expeditions for many years. In the last few years, they had their eyes on some of the biggest fish there could be: Bush, Rove and DeLay. The NYT and Miller and many others were trying to get all of them or any of them. They failed with Bush, and were still hopeful of getting Rove or DeLay.

Anyhow, Miller, noticing that she wasn't getting very far with Rove or with Fitzgerald, was looking for some good news from the "war on republicans" (WOR) and had to stay in jail for a while because there wasn't any good news for her side from the war front.

Until last week.

Last week, she and a lot of democrats and a lot of the mainstream media got a victory of sorts when a vindictive anti-republican prosecutor in Texas got enough balls to indict one of their big fish targets: Tom DeLay. Tom DeLay gave up his leadership position in congress as required by republican rules. Not congressional rules. Anyhow, a victory of sorts it was for the democrats and the NYT and Miller.

So, the NYT and a lot of the MSM and most democrats became ecstatic and were very celebratory. Judy Miller was happy and the "WOR" groups thought that they had won a big battle and didn't need to have Miller continue her charade.

They got a big fish and needed time to celebrate and Miller would be part of that celebration. Besides, they needed to regroup and figure out their next set of plans and schemes to resume their "WOR".

But .. the whole reason Miller got out of jail was because her lawyer got Fitzgerald to agree not to ask her about anybody except Libby.

WHY ..?? Who could Miller have talked to other than Libby that might have let slip the name of Pflame ..??

How about HILLARY!! Hillary knew the Wilsons very well because they held fund raisers for the Clintons. That puts Hillary in a position to have known about Pflame .. and since Miller is at the NYT - that makes her equally chummy with Hillary.

So .. I'm saying Miller went to jail to protect her real SOURCE - HILLARY!
