You can read more about this flashlight at http://www.night-ops.com/Gladius-Specifications.htm

The company selling it is a division of Blackhawk.

I much prefer a 4 or 5 cell MagLight to a baton or PR-24.

Better heft, and it doesn't slip whilst wearing duty gloves.

4 d-cell maglight is a freaking baseball bat

One more reason to mind my business and stay out of trouble.

They missed the obvious feature. Open the sides and offer a red gel for traffic duty.

Just the thing to have when asking a citizen "Ihre Papieren, Bitte".

Actually just the thing to have when I confront the guy who just beat his ex-girlfried and then stomped on her head several times.

I don't need to see his papers. I need to see his hands and then I need to see his face on the pavement.

But thanks for the comment anyway. Don't call 911 if you have a problem.

Oh, cut me a break!

Like a flashlight is more intimidating than a gun or a baton.

I carry a 4 cell for just talking to people and a mini light for back up or house clearing. Less tiring and I can do mag changes with it in my hand.

Well the designers are SEAL and spec ops types so they have to get around to the traffic control details later.

The one downside is for 200+ bucks I should be able to use it as an impact weapon and it should be rechargeable.

My mini is strapped to the rail of my Sig. When clearing a residence, I want BOTH hands on my weapon. I'm sure you understand.... :)

I missed the price there. For $250 it's not worth it. Although I'm not a cop.

yeah, but my agency just started ordering Glocks with the rail s and I'm so far down the list of those who "need" one that I wouldn't even bother asking.

Plus my new fangled holster is not made in a version that accpets rail accessories yet.

It's from TDlabs.com and I love it.

I'd hate to be trying to sneak up on somebody in the dark when that 'low battery' indicator started flashing. You might as well just paste a luminous target on yourself. There should be an option to disable that feature.
