Your premise would be:
Esquire is a magazine for gay men Premise: Esquire does a feature on Earle.
Your conclusion is that: .. Everyone who reads the article on Earle is gay?
Esquire/gaydom never entered my mind. Found the feature interesting and passed it along.
To: fight_truth_decay
So 9 of 12 prosecuted were democrats OK, but WHICH ONES WERE GUILTY??
To: fight_truth_decay
I hope there is something that perhaps a Federal Grand Jury can start looking into regarding Earle. At some point he has to make a mistake.

No, that is not the reason. They have been sending me a free subscription for over a year. I have tried to cancel it and they keep on sending it. Every month I give it a quick read before I toss it. It is for gay men. Maybe that urge for the quick read makes me partially gay. I don't know. I could care less about any article they do on Earle.

What this really shows, if you ignore all the puffery, is that Ronnie Earle has very little legal leg to stand on, just like the Kay Bailey Hutchinson indictment that he tried to prosecute until it was laughed out of court (he claimed Hutchinson was using State of Texas employees for campaign purposes).
The fact that the Grand Jury could only name DeLay on one count demonstrates just how flimsy this is. And the Grand Jury is heavily tilted toward indictment. All it really means is he could find 12 Austinites who could either have the wool pulled over their eyes or wanted to take down a powerful politician oft-demonized in the media.
One other dirty little secret is that Earle wound up with this case only after the Democrats failed to pursuade the Fort Bend County prosecutor (DeLay's home district) to take on the case.
One final note. Democrats often ran unopposed in Travis County because Democrats solidly outnumber Republicans in Austin, particularly when college is in session. It isn't a testament to his popularity, rather a testament to his own power among the party faithful. He is their pit bull and his handlers know he will attack those his masters want him to attack.

With all that's going on today (hurricanes - war on terror - etc.), why are the "absolutely unethicals" starting this mudfest? Someone please name a DemocRAT worthy of even thinking about pointing an accusatory finger! Pelosi? -> what a joke! Hillary?? -> even funnier!! Teddy??? -> talk about a laughing to death!!!
The MSM and Dem-Commies are waaay past the left field fence. It is doubtful that they will ever recover to join us in reality. Send 'em all to Cuba! Fidel has Nirvana just waiting for them. I'm sure they will be as happy as "liberally" possible in dictators-ville.
As Michael Savage says: "liberalism is a mental disorder." As time progresses his point is proven more convincingly.
Hopefully, Tom Delay's fierce reaction will inspire more Repubs. No more focus groups -> just state the truth directly with all the emotion that naturally accompanies it. Most Americans can handle the simple truth. Only the wimpy PC liberals require pablum.

A 1994 case against Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, a Republican, was tossed out of court on the first day of trial, and Democratic Attorney General Jim Mattox was acquitted in 1985.
"But House Speaker Gib Lewis, a Democrat, pleaded no contest to ethics charges in 1992, and several cases against lower-profile officials have resulted in convictions," Earle said.
There weren't any Republicans in power back then, and those Democrats were on the Conservative side..so enters Kay Baily Hutchinson.
If anyone wants to read the indictment it's available on
http://www.thesmokinggun.com. Don't make the mistake of leaving out "the" in the smoking gun or you link to a site with photographs depicting the heads blown off Bush and other leaders of the Administration.

As I had stated before:
Esquire/gaydom never entered my mind. Found the feature interesting and passed it along. However,I was doing some research and found this on-line article giving quotes and background info. It's good to know your enemy.
