thanks for the post.
Delay nailed it when he said about Earle having indicted some dems in the past--" Well, because back this the early days when he was indicting his political democratic enemies, there were no republicans in texas. "

Man, how do you guys read and type so fast? Reading and fast typing are no big thing.
Taking the time to analyze and develop a cogent response..well...that's often lacking with the quick draw artists.

We eat our own. Why is there a presumption of guilt attached to a Republican being indicted but none to a Democrat is beyond me.

>>If this proves as bogus as it sounds, I think the Republicans in the State Legislature will work hard to have Earle disbarred.<<
He should be - I would like to see all his telcon records for the past 30-60 days. Bet Dean, and all the Demoncrat leaders have been in touch with Earle. It is no accident that Bush, Rove, Frist, and Delay are all under attack!!!! Hanity was saying this afternoon that Earle was at a Dem fund raising event and stated that he was the person that was going to bring down Delay

He better go to bat for Delay. I expect no less, actually. I believe he will. Delay has been as straight of an arrow guy as you can get. Bush always honors honesty and loyalty. When has Delay not been thus?

Bull. Delay is the object of a smear and is responding appropriately. I suspect the first Jusge to see this piss-poor indictment will toss it. He may even sanction the true perp, Earle.

That's a very good question.

Dang, now I feel like Matthews fooled me after reading a couple of other comments about the interview. me too, I guess I'm one of those stupid ones, because I thought Chrissy was unusually fair with Delay. Now it is time to turm him off , a little bit of his show is all I can handle.
To: Congressman Billybob
On Foc earlier, there was a North Caolina Republican Congressman debating a NJ Democrat Congressman about Delay. The Republican said that the democratss do not step down when there is an indictment. If they did the whole New Jersy representation would have to step down.
The NJ guy was furious with that statement and called for an apology. The NC guy just smiled. Never did apologize.

I changed the channel before Nora came on because I think things went well up to that point. I didn;t want to spoil it. But that gavel line sounds very familiar...I think Matthews used it during the DeLay interview as well. Since DeLay ignored it, I am not surprised that Chris used it on someone else. Did Nora laugh?

Perhaps not, as you know how the MSM covers for their own, as well as for the Democrats, but then, I am redundant.
To: scrivener
DeLay is the most dependably conservative big name Republican since he became Whip originally.
Unwaiverung....and has the will to govern and use his power.
Pragmatic only as a last resort. He has walked the talk ...especially on issues important to me.

What's really funny is that the democrats act like DeLay will be sitting in a closet, all by himself. There is nothing in the rules to prevent DeLay from being a "guest" at a leadership meeting, providing advice to Blount, calling people to give him his opinion on how they should vote, etc.
All this does is give Blount the title for a while, and allow him to get some invitations to speak on the Sunday shows.
But, mark my words, the democrats will be whining about "cheating" within a few days. They will start demanding that DeLay be expelled or prohibited from attending meetings. They will overstep and reveal phone taps or something. And I will be laughing at them. HA!

Thank you, Congressman, for your clarification. Purrcival, see his post #156. Seems to me, they should all be operating by the same rules. Doesn't make sense that this should not apply equally to all.
To: Congressman Billybob
Well said! Nice catch!!! Both times!
