Just watched the Explorer "Killer Squid" about the Humboldt- amazing predators.
I'm an avid diver, and there isn't another creature in the water quite so fearsome - sharks can certainly kill you, but most shark encounters are uneventful.
These big squid apparently don't care whether you're part of their diet or not, anything that moves is on the menu without hesitation. If they are in the water with you, they will come after you.
In addition, it's not just one of them, but potentially several powerful 1.5m squid doing their level best to a. drown you and b. eat you.
That wicked beak and the meathooks on the suckers just add to the fun.

I wouldn't really want to be in the water with the things, but I'd *love* to see the bioluminescent light show- especially the pre-attack changing of colors.
