Look for the lamestream media to give Hackett lots of fawning press as he bad-mouths the President on a daily basis.

In a regular election, I doubt Hackett can hack it.

The Democrats aren't serious about this are they? DeWine should be one of the most vulnerable Republicans. Why would they run a gimmick candidate against him?

I loathe my Senator DeWeenie but he'll win this 60/40.
Once again the lame, feeble, weak Ohio Democrat Party does nothing to make the Ohio GOP feel the need to improve.

Why would they run a gimmick candidate against him?Because the Ohio Dems have been out of power for 14 years, and hence have no bench. Also they only have 6 of 18 Congresscritters. 5 of whom have passed, of which at least 3 (maybe 4) of them are too whacky to win statewide, and the 6th is running for governor.

Hackett ran a very dishonest campaign, at one event he called GW Bush a bastard or son of a bitch (I can't remember which) yet Hackett ran TV ads that implied he & GW were friends. I also received a flier from the Hackett campaign & nowhere on the entire mailer did it mention he was a Democrat!!! I had to call to find out his party affiliation. If we can get the 2 men to run on issues Dewine will squeak through. Not that Dewine is any prize.

While the local advertising show him as a war heroes.

No one is going to lay down and let Hackett run a campaign like that again.

Maybe our Senator will sprout some gonads when the MSM starts bearing down on him and he realizes he might lose.... then again, maybe not.

"Meant it. Said it. Stand by it. Would say it again. I call a spade a spade. He [Bush] is a chicken hawk. It's also accurate that I don't like the son of a bitch, but I was willing to put my life on the line for him and he should be happy about that. I don't have to love him. I just have to be willing to put my life on the line for him. And I was."
This is a post-election interview with Paul Hackett. We can expect more of the same.

Good. Unless Hacket gets some brains, and fast, he'll be a perfect spokesperson for the D's. He'll make them look like the confused wackos they are.
