Quite by accident I became a mountain biker at the age of forty. I hung out with kids between 18 and 26.
As one of my friends said Adrenalin produces an endorphin reaction in the brain that makes fear of injury into a peculiar kind of pleasure and anticipation.
I subsequently earned the nick name 'Crash King' because as a result of a particularly bad bail I would not only come out uninjured but laughing.
