Couldn't FReepers make a concerted effort to keep "Sheets" from the Senate this time?
The cheers from the Congressional Black Caucus are deafening.
Freepers need to hand the man a straw hat accompanied by salt, pepper, mustard and ketchup.
I wonder if "sheets" knows he's running. I think that a life test needs to be used to determine if he's still alive
It's the same in Mass. that they keep electing that paragon of virtue Kennedy.
I guess. And I can't really talk too much. My state elected Schumer and Clinton.....but not as many times yet....
Repeal the 17th!
I doubt 'Sheets' has seriously run for anything for, oh, 30-40 years.
He shuffles.
Senator Byrd has failed a lot in recent months. He is fighting to function and it is readily noticable. 87 years is a ripe old age. It is much too old to concentrate on the senate business. I objected strongly to Strom Thurmond serving. The staffs of aged politician are much too strong and powerful. They are not elected and do all the work. Common sense dictates Senator Byrd is not ready to serve one more year never mind six.
Neither the Republican Party nor anyone else will ever "unseat" the narrow end of the "horn of plenty". As long as mr. byrd can keep the people of WV facing him with their collective hand's outstretched in supplication and as long as he can drop a few "golden coins" into them, his "job" will be secure.

"They call me 'The Pork King,' they don't know how much I enjoy it." - Sen. Robert Byrd
Nope, Don Knotts is still alive and carrying around his lucky bullet.
At least "sheets" has an excuse. Our guy, Bayh, has to get a clue, who is he representing the demorats or Indiana........In the opinion of many it had better be Indiana
Sen. Robert Byrd (D-Robert Byrd)
Well I'll be...Don Knotts is still kickin'! I must have gotten him confused with someone else..Gilligan perhaps.
Anyway, Don is 81 years old so perhaps it is time for some young blood in the WV senator's office. Heck, Sheets welcomed me and my 8th grade class to the Capitol back in 1974.
You forgot:
The Robert C. Byrd Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC), designed for the Ohio Valley Area Regional Transit Authority (OVARTA) is a key component of the Wheeling National Heritage Plan, providing parking at the Gateway to Wheelings Historic Heritage Port. The Heritage Plan includes economic development of the Wheeling waterfront on the Ohio River and development of existing historical and cultural resources. The ITC is located adjacent to the Artisans Center, Wheeling Civic Center, Capital Music Hall and Wheeling Community College.
Oh, I'm sure there are lots of programs and memorials that I didn't include. LOL
Those were just some that were listed on the "Citizens Against Waste" website.
