One of the bullets hit the tip of the man's middle finger on his right hand, severing it. His index finger also was injured, but not as seriously. I imagine that his middle finger was struck with the first bullet, because the question is, who would keep their middle finger up when being shot at?
But this isn't a time to point fingers. It must have been scary knowing that no one could lift a hand to help.

Well, not bad I suppose, but not as good as when Roy Rogers used to lean to the side and fire his rifle under the belly of his galloping horse and shoot the gun out of the bad guy's hand ... trail rage.
