Yes, the second time. The mid level circulation was visible on the radar loop. Other than that I never would have known.
Another interesting look. http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/tropic/real-time/marti/2005_EIGHTEEN/webManager/basicGifDisplay.html
It looks like the work of the Binford 6100 Snowstorm Generator. I heard that Halliburton bought Binford after "Tool Time" went off the air.
Darn those Binford tools, they NEVER worked right!
Yep.. They are FINALLY off the hook... LOL.
Are you sure? That sounds like a Hurricane Hillary to me. :o)
Okay. Just got the chart off of Wikipedia.
This is a really cool animation of Rita - take a little bit to load, but the images are worth it. Any idea what the four symetrical images are that appear in the lower left corner just before landfall? Comments appreciated.
Oops - here's the link:

Great Map. Thanks, Perdogg.
We'll see what the experts say, but I'm pretty sure that storm is not "Rita" but a new one that has formed in the Gulf.
It is NOT Rita. This is along the cold front...a low that is trying to form. It is NOT Rita though and will not be named Rita if this thing turns into a tropical system.
There is a new tropical depression forming in the Caribbean and will likely become a storm over the next few days.
There's nothing resembling a tropical system forming in the Gulf of Mexico.
Might want to clue your son in that Bastardi is a liar and fraud at some point.
Also, every couple of days during the tropical season he warns people of "tropical trouble" potentially forming. I actually kept track myself last year. He did this 30 times over a two month period before a tropical system finally formed last year.
Typhoon Longwang??? ROFL..sounds like a good title for an x-rated movie to me..:)
