You said it: do you want to be a pure Conservative?
or do you want to govern?

Like it or not, in today's world, the American public expects us to show we 'care' by creating programs and spending money. And you know what? I would rather have that money be spent on programs that push conservative values - rather than continuing to spend it to pay people NOT to work, to have illegitimate kids, etc. I like some of Bush's pro-ownership programs. I want to see us help those who help themselves.

If this makes me a Bush-bot, or a less-than-pure Conservative, well so be it.

That said... this is an outrage. Pence is doing just what should be done, looking for 'fat' to trim in spending. DeLay's comment that there is none is malarkey.

Why do Pubs insist on party discipline on things like this??
I hate to see Rove et al push forward rights for illegals and huge spending increases without even LOOKING at alternatives. Instead of debating, they try to silence the brave ones with threats. And it works!

I agree with your assessment.

I have been watching Pence. So far, I see a man with a Presidential temperament and a conservative philosophy.

So far...so good.

wow, clever.

It's not my club. However, have you even bothered to look at their actual web site and seen the quotes and stories there?

Or do you just wish to further deflect from the fact that you spoke before you knew what you were talking about?

I am not deflecting anything: I asked you to tell me what specifically they are doing. I stated also that their page is asking for money without telling anything specific, and I could not find specifics after a couple of clicks.

You, on the other hand, prefer to discuss me rather than answering what is supposed to be a simple question.

Thanks for the post. As I said, this is nothing more than divide-and-conquer BS from the TrashPost.

Pence is one of the good guys and I knew he wouldn't bend over for the RINOs.
