Arnold really loves his "Kollyforniya". He has to, so that he may continue to do the job in the face of the sheer nastiness that is thrown at him.
Maybe California Dem'crats didn't invent political invective, but they sure have raised it to an art form.

I knew there would be challenges, but I believed I could get Democrats and Republicans to work together.
How was he gonna pull that one off, pray tell?

We saved the state from bankruptcy ...(Huh? delayed it is more likely),
increasing state revenues $6 billion without raising taxes ... (sell that to folks paying higher local taxes and tuition).
We rolled back the unfair car tax increase ... (anyone winning the Recall would have done the same or gotten recalled as well),
reduced workers' compensation insurance premiums 30 percent ... (after it increased 300-400% the last few years),
created a positive business environment and brought huge numbers of jobs back to the state - more than 400,000 ... (most filled by illegals).

I am proud of the economic recovery, just as I am proud of our other accomplishments: supporting stem cell research, victims' rights, the three-strikes law and environmental initiatives such as the hydrogen highway. Not to mention the Sierra Nevada Conservancy. The new "fiscal conservatism" at work.

I wish him well but if prop 75 doesn't pass his goose is cooked as well as ours...

Funny thing. In the last sentence of his very own editorial, he omits Prop 75. In fact, in the 860 words published, he doesn't mention Proposition 75 at all.
"We can start that work this November with a Yes vote on Propositions 74, 76 and 77."
To: calcowgirl
maybe one of his aides slipped him an old script. ;-)

"I'm proud I set aside more land for public parks than any governor in California's history."I honestly think he thinks this is what the Sierra-Nevada CONservancy is going to be... a gigiantic PARK!!! (that is if he ever thinks about anything other than himself)

"We can start that work this November with a Yes vote on Propositions 74, 76 and 77." Maybe FareOpinion can explain that.
Given that Arnold didn't come out for Prop. 75 until AFTER it had qualified and then only at the convention, his tepid support for the most important measure on the ballot does beg for an explanation.
