"For example, Katrina isn't our only crisis. What's up with our borders, for instance? Why doesn't the president bring them under control?

So far, the White House solution to the immigration crisis is to plot against border-control advocate Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.), conjure up visions of alien amnesty, and now -- final-straw time -- appoint a novice to head up the crucial U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

"I will seek to work with those who are knowledgeable in this area, who know more than I do," 36-year-old Julie Myers told lawmakers at her Senate confirmation hearing last week."

Give Michelle Malkin a ring, Julie.

RACIST!!! (sarcasm)

No really, we have a problem in this nation with illegal labor. Eventually this is going to lead to bloodshed, some nut with a gun, or God forbid a large group of them are going to get together, and a lot of Mexicans are going to get hurt...or worse. I believe in the Minutemen one hundred and ten percent. But I fear that some idiot is going to take it too far and tarnish the whole movement in the process. What this supposedly conservative President is thinking on the illegal alien issue, I haven't a clue. I don't know, maybe he has something up his sleeve NOT involving amnesty in any way, shape or form. Somehow I doubt it.

So, what's new? Same old GW that we here at FR have complained about for the past few years. W does not want immigration under control. Too many of his rich buddies making money, and as we all know money is the bottom line. W has done more harm to our beautiful America than any President in our history.

Is Bush a Moslem?

American Presidents have met Arabs before. Show me Reagan holding hands. Even Clinton.

Which is fine. They keep bumping the thread, while showing that they're completely reduced to babyish nitpicking.

Heheh. . oh, the President has a clue all right.

Everyone is trying to put a label on it - it's so blaringly obvious.

Some are calling it Selective Enforcement

One way to interpret the immigration laws is that they stay on the books because they make it easy to deport troublemakers. The behavior that is punished is not immigration per se, but causing harm in some other way that gets the attention of the authorities.

What would you guys do without us(so-called "open borders' crowd").

Myabe do something important and consequential, such as direct political animus and debate towards the democrats.

I know, I know, perish that thought, you all are here to bash the Pubbies 24/7 and act as covert chuckie schumer allies.

Or perhaps we just refuse to place Party over Principle? Or profits over border security? Unlike some people around here?
