I watched a dumb reporter on Fox today lecturing someone from Texas about the problems on the highways during evacuation.

I wonder why all these reporters don't just take over and run the world. One would think they could create a utopia within hours!

What a crock indeed! However, those theories had fans here on Free Republic too--I recall many "discussions" about that, and there were those who insisted the place should be bulldozed and entirely deserted. I'm still waiting for all the plagues some of those same people insisted would happen if people continued to live there--which, of course, they have.

I agree. Tony is a good guy also. I listen to him on the internet before Rush comes on the radio. One of the best radio show hosts is Jason Lewis on WKBT in Charlotte, NC. He has a strong economics and legal background. He should replace Hannity on the 3-6 hour slot on a national basis.

I don't know about "uninhabitable" but large parts of NO shouldn't be inhabited again.Much of it would be much better used as a landfill. At the current rate of subsidence that landfill might not "run out" of space for a long time.
