Serb seems to be a rather unique cyrillic formulation.
There are many variations ive found.
Uzbek, turkeman...

Who cares? Buy a couple cases of ammo and have fun. It's a good rifle.

(Dig deeper, more ammo.)
To: mylife
The Serbs didn't manufacture the SKS"s they were either made by the Chinese or the Russians back in the 50's or 60's and sold to the old Yugoslavian army. Not a bad piece to plink with as the ammo is relatively cheap 1000 rd's for $100. at lewast that was what I paid for it. There is no AUTO unless you screw with the guts, strictly semi. The chinese versions were the same ones used in NAM, really rugged.

The equivalent in the Latin alphabet would be:
S verom u Boga za budu i otadzbinu (with a little "v" mark over the "z" in the last word).
It means "with faith in God for (something) and (something)."
I don't know Serbian but I've studied a bit of a couple of related languages.
To: mylife
I was a serbo-croatian linguist in the Army in a past life and in all seriousness it says:
"With faith in God for future and fatherland"
Has nothing to do with ammunition, the gulf war, or any of these other, ahem..., "translations". :-P
