I think from now on my reply to "why do you homeschool" will be "because we believe in God".

And nobody will blink an eye.

Look at the irony here, One dipstick in California has "Under God " banned in the schools there, but this man cant stop his kids from being taught the homosexual agenda in Kindergarten.

We are losing folks and we better start working harder.

A 5-year-old who is coming to the classroom with two moms deserves to be in a classroom that includes books that show his family."

heaven help the child who gets abused at home by "Aunt Phil"- will there be books on that ? (sarcasm)

What about the family unit that consists of Klansmen? - will there be books on that (again sarcasm)

"A backer of the Lexington School District, Laura Tully, argued, according to WCVB-TV in Boston, "A 5-year-old who is coming to the classroom with two moms deserves to be in a classroom that includes books that show his family."

Does a 5-year-old who is coming to the classroom with a dad that beats his mom's face to a bloody mess deserve to be in a classroom that includes books that show his family? Books that make his dad's behavior look normal?

Oh, I forgot that some types of deviant behavior are protected while others aren't yet. I should consult my list.

"Joyce and Emily, and a poodle named Daisy." Slippery slope indeed!

Is Daisy a trans-sexual??

I agree. I applaud him for doing what's right. It's a little surprising that there's only one parent that objects.

Astonishing.

The only reason this can go on is that a majority of parents don't know or care what their children are being taught.

"Dad on trial over homosexual book [Parent jailed for objecting to school curriculum criminal trespassing]"

Please do not imitate the media with inaccurate titles.

And you can get very creative with your Defendants. Find someone without Sovereign Immunity, a Board member's wife who made some public comment on the issue and name her personally, etc. Pretty soon someone panics.

Another tactic is to send pickets to the Board member's neighborhood at 4:00 PM when everyone is driving home from work. Signs asking why Member XYZ is encouraging YOUR children to adopt homosexual lifestyles and giving the member's home phone number so "interested parents" can call usually produces results within 72 hours.

It's especially fun if you know when the Member is going to have a party at their home. Remember. if someone is on the School Board, their opponents hate them, so this gets the phones ringing ASAP.

He's already in legal trouble, why not take it to the limit and set a precedence. We've got to let these schools know who pays their bills.(sans the part the Gov. pays)

It will cost me a homosexual flaming (as opposed to a flaming homosexual?), but here is goes:

In my gnerally libertarian opinion, homosexuals have the right to be homosexuals. They can live with each other and should be afforded the chance to make a life-time commitment to each other with the legal advantages of being recongnized by the state. Just not marriage.

Their children have the right to be accepted as "normal" by other children. And not be expected to be ashamed or embarassed.

This content of this lesson, appears from the article to merely be teaching children that families with same sex partners exist. I understood neither a positive nor negative value judgement. It is information.

I understand that many think the mere recognition of the existence of homosexual couples without condemning it is a value judgement. I respectfully disagree.

Home schooling is legal and is the alternative when individuals do not want their children exposed to certain types of information.

And yes, I am also of the opinion that individuals are born homosexual.

Yeah, right. And just how many kids in Lexington school have same sex parents?

Some families have snakes and rats for pets.

Actually, the snake would be the pet. The rats would be the food for the snake.

"It's a little surprising that there's only one parent that objects."

Actually it is very alarming. "We" are losing and most of "us" don't even realize it.

I thought he was jailed for refusing to leave the principal's office, not for objecting.

That was the official reason he was jailed. But not the real reason.
