Note well: Bill will also likely miss this week's very important Freep at Walter Reed; so we will need at least an extra 76 manly-men, good-looking women and above average children to take his place.
Please keep this thread bumped, and answer the call if you are at all able to drop your other VRWC duties for several hours on Friday, September, 23rd.
For more on Code PinkOs' lies to soldiers about their WRAMC "vigil," read this thread (if you haven't already).
DC Chapter PING!
We miss you, Bill; and I hope that all is well at the Halliburton meeting. I have put out an urgent appeal for 76 Freepers to fill your shoes this week. They came through for us the last time you missed a Freep. I hope they do this week too.
Wouldn't the DC chapter make more headway if they directed some of their energy towards a potential candidate to the U.S. House or Senate?
Bumped.
Hey, should I wear my "Commies aren't cool" t-shirt again this week? The pinkos got pretty offended by it last week.
"...candles and signs provided."
LOL. Wonder why that is.
bmwcyle I told you on the post-Fayetteville thread I would return the favor sometime this year. See you Friday.
Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me.
Mitchell Potts lost his....well you know.
We're making great headway against Code Pink and the other anti-American Leftist groups. Code Pink used to be a media darling. But lately Code Pink is in full-spin mode.
They have had to remove the most offensive signs from their stock - which saves the families from some amount of heartache when they had to look at the signs.
They have lost their original focus, which was to try and imply some sinister administration motive to bringing gravely wounded soldiers back from overseas at night.
They have lost the more moderate liberal anti-war supporters, due to our weekly education campaign of passers-by and Code PinkO "vigilers." Just look at the photos from our past Freeps - how many faces do you see returning from week to week? The only ones returning are the ones who make money or get publicity for their own organizations; these are the hard-core leftists.
A final note: At the moment, politicians are a whole lot less important to me than the wounded troops at Walter Reed and their families, and the troops who are trying to heal them. That's my personal opinion. YMMV.
All you have to say to Squeege Boy is, "Gort, Klatu Nichto Brada" and he'll leave for his home planet.
LOL!!
Walter Reed has become a quagmire for CodePink and they have no exit strategy. Their leaders have lied to them (i.e. Kevin McCarron is not working for us), the resistance has grown (i.e. we out number them) and their folks are deserting their cause (i.e., see earlier comment on turnover).
Writing that down for future reference!
I'm so sick of pinkos crying that we're trying to silence their voice. They understand it's the location we object to and their tormenting wounded soldiers and their families.
Code Pink Stinks.
Tell me you DIDN'T photo shop this...
Please join us at Walter Reed this Friday night, as we stand in defense of our wounded warriors, their families and their mission.
We begin setting up at 6:30pm and end sometime after the bus from Fran O'Brien's returns to WRAMC (9:30-ish)
Bring signs of support, US flags, service flags, chairs if you have bad knees. We will have MOABs, coolers of water, signs and flags. Other regulars often bring snacks and goodies, and we have pizza delivered on site, for those of us who drive straight from work.
Please join us at the northeast corner of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW - that is the 7200 block of Georgia Avenue.
This is less than 3 miles south of the Beltway, exit 31 SOUTH; and it is also less than a mile from the Takoma Metro station.
As Landry Fan says: "Be there, or be square!"
DC Chapter Rules apply. Briefly they are: No violence, no profanity, obey the law, treat law enforcement officers with respect.
Great report !!!
