I think that it is important though to send a message loud and clear that the citizens of this state will not tolerate the level of incompetence that gov. Blank0 has displayed. Mitch Landrieu is another issue but enough is enough and I have had my fill of the dingbat's failures.

"Hold on now, handy dude. Do you realize what you are implying? That the voters in Louisiana are as stupid as those in Illinois? Somehow, that just doesn't seem possible. I have not been to Louisiana yet. I have been to Illinois (and Chicago). The folks in Chicago think that the Cubs have not won a World Series because of a curse which involves a goat."
Hate to burst your bubble but several years ago, when the Saints were in a playoff game (they won their first), they had a voodoo lady come out before the game who did some kind of dance to get rid of the bad spirits that had kept the Saints from winning a playoff game.

"
Please realize if we impeach Blanco, Mitch Landreau (Mary's Brother) will be the replacement Governor."
Not so fast. Mitch Landrieu would only hold the office until a special election would be held to fill the vacancy.
The following is from
Article 10 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana (
pop-up link):
§26. Recall
Section 26. The legislature shall provide by general law for the recall by election of any state, district, parochial, ward, or municipal official except judges of the courts of record. The sole issue at a recall election shall be whether the official shall be recalled.
§27. Filling of Vacancies
Section 27.(A) Gubernatorial Appointment; Election. If no other provision therefor is made by this constitution, by statute, by local government charter, by home rule charter or plan of government, or by ordinance, the governor may fill a vacancy occurring in any elective office. When a vacancy occurs in the office and the unexpired portion of the term exceeds one year, the vacancy shall be filled at an election, as provided by law, and the appointment shall be effective only until a successor takes office.
(B) Qualifications. Nothing in this Section shall change the qualifications for any office, and every appointee must be otherwise eligible to hold the office to which appointed.
§28. Definition of Vacancy
Section 28. A vacancy, as used in this Constitution, shall occur in the event of death, resignation, removal by any means, or failure to take office for any reason.
If Blanco is recalled before December 2006, there will have to be a special election for Governor. And Mitch Landrieu will not be very popular following from the fact the he will have opposed the recall and is tainted by his service within the Blanco administration, in which he has been a loyal and willing servant.

Mary's voter base has been scattered to the winds. She's toast. Right now we need to get the gov out.

You got it Cajun. She has got to go! Not only does she make me ashamed to say I'm from Louisiana, I also have to endure the fact that she's from Lafayette, where I live.

Having 250,000 voters move out of state only means that NO turns in their ballot boxes at 4:00 am, instead of 1:00 am.
When you manufacture votes the way that they do, out-of-state voters just delays the inevitable by a few hours.

Boy that is bad, you had to endure the Mayor Kenny Bowen days. Wasn't Blank0's husband key in him getting elected? My sister lives there and she's such a rabid dem I can't help myself when I remind her of the fact that Blank0 screwed up and yes who we vote for matters.

I doubt very much that Louisiana has recall provisions.

Yes we do.

Yes we did have to endure that chief A__ Clown Kenny B and yes, Raymond Blank-o, who was a very stauch supporter of former Governor and now resident of the Federal Penitentiary Edwin Edwards, was instrumental in getting him elected.

Louisiana uses the Napoleonic Code for governance. Maybe there is something there to get rid of Nattering Nabob Nagin, Ms. Blank-O and Queen Mary of the Bayou Lan-drool?? Seems only fitting.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. Recall was one of the Progressive reforms of the early twentieth century and usually is not in States that did not have much of a Progressive influence from those times.

I'm glad to see you weren't asleep in history class MS.

So many bad things point back to Eddie. I'm sure he's complicit in the NO mess somehow. Hopefully he will have a few buddies join him in prison.

Start with her and then go after Nagin. Those two need a reality check to admit they screwed up royally and cost a lot of lives.
