If I remember correctly the communist manifesto wishes all children to be raised by the state. So of course the ACLU is against parents raising their own children.

I think that kind of reponsible parenting is one of the "catastrophic results" the ALCU jerk was referring to.

In fact, raising your child these days to develop into a healthy, happy, responsible adult has never been harder.

Oh, pishtosh! In the bad old days, you were lucky if they lived to two years old.

Corruption and perversion? Try ancient Rome or Greece. Sure, there have been better moral environments for rearing children than we face today, but there have been plenty worse, too - and there has rarely been a better environment for simple physical health than modern America.

Alan Sears was on O'Reilly (I think it was last night) and he said there are a bunch of organizations that are now fighting the ACLU in courts and winning a lot of cases.

"When the state forces parents to be involved, the consequences are often catastrophic."

It sounds like this line was lifted right out of a George Orwell novel.

"Why not give enough to totally defeat the ACLU? If every believer in God fearing churches in America gave ten dollars, we would have a legal fund to destroy the ACLU."

I agree completely; but I would add, why don't we use their own tactics against them? What about a lawsuit, filed in Federal Court (using the judge-and-venue-shopping tactics that they have made famous) stating that, since they have engaged in a pattern of anti-Christian activities, that is "hate speech" and they are not entitled to any more taxpayer funds. Let's fight fire with fire.
