A hundred billion here, a hundred billion there... pretty soon it all adds up to real money.

Welcome to the world of the socialist republican. We have been taken over the socialists. Just one is with D and one with R. The R type is the lesser, weaker form.

I predict a short stay for you.

Eliminate 1/2 of tht highway budget and 3/4 of non-life-support welfare budget and save 500 billion.

Not one thin dime of Katrina spending will be offset, take that to the bank.

No one around here believes the GOP is a fiscally conservative party, do they?

This 200 billion proposal really ticks me off but I really hate the use of DU pictures on FR.

No one around here believes the GOP is a fiscally conservative party, do they? There is no such thing as "smaller government." And in the 20th and 21st century, there never has been.

That wasn't why I objected to the post. It is fine to be mad about this 200 billion but don't use DU tactics to make the point. If it were up to me, NO would be a swamp from this day forward.

Calvin Coolidge.
Dems = Tax and Spend
GOP = Borrow and Spend
Bottom line, they're both big spenders.

Perhaps we should 'reconsider' Dennis Hastert's view on the matter.
