Wouldn't that be a hoot, if he bought it in someone else's name.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Nagin
He and his wife, Seletha Smith Nagin, have three children: Jeremy, Jarin, and Tianna.

If this doesn't work....I'd try under Katrina Nagin.

Russert once worked for both Daniel P. Moynihan and Mario Cuomo. His father is a strong union Democrat in Buffalo.

No, the Dallas mayor, an Al Gore female Democrat named Laura Miller, was just reelected in a nonpartisan election in May.

Some localities require a person working or serving a city to reside within the city limits. Does New Orleans have such an ordinance. I mean how the heck can he be a mayor of a major American city, while living in another major city in another state?

If I had to move to another state I would move to Texas.

Fishtalk, c'mon down to Texas; it'll be a hoot! You can wear boots any day of the week and on any occasion.

In this WP article ........Nagin family evacuated but does not say to Dallas.

This article dated Sept.1 NOT the Friday of August 26.

My error.

I think the area around Dallas that's been mentioned is called Frisco? Ring any bells, anyone?

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Frisco has one of the LOWEST crime rates in Collin County. With a population increase of just under 20% in 2003, the crime rate changed from 26.86 to 27.42 crimes per 1000 population, a slight 2% increase.

Compare that with the city of New Orleans....
