I find it so arrogant when Senators rest their heads on their hands while Roberts answers a question.
Imagine Roberts doing the same while they're asking a question.
Dispicable.
Look at Leaky boy's smirk!! He thinks he has Robert just where he wants him...ugh!
Leahy can't even put together a coherent question and keeps interrupting Judge Roberts. What a baffoon!
Leahy now in free fall, Roberts explaining the law to him.Bad move, Pat.Stick to maple syrup
Leahy is soooo upset that he and his liberal jackals cannot push the Executive branch around! LOL....Roberts has to lecture Leaky on the "separation of powers" concept.
assuming that Leahy can read!
I don't know how Mrs. Roberts keeps from rolling her eyes at some of these questions/statements.
Roberts is a LAWYER! So are all the members of the Committee! The questions about his advice in the WH are just as foolish as the threads here that claimed Roberts was bad because he assisted others in his Law firm on cases some didn't like. That's what lawyers do.
Roberts: "Senator, you're vastly over-reading your importance."
That memo was about pension benefits??
And what does that have to with making a law to pull out of a war??
I like him. A lot. He is tearing Leahy a new one, IMHO...
Thanks for the definition. Roberts is talking to Leaky like a teacher instructing a 5th grader...lol!
Yes, and it's a beautiful sight!
Huge assumption. Leaky is babbling now. Can Congress stop a war? What a doofus question.
Leahy brings up the Boland Amendment and Iran-Contra.
WTF?
Does he think he's asking questions to an 8th grader?
"Excuse me, Mr. Roberts, I'm answering my questions here -- stop interrupting me with YOUR opinions."
20 year old memos? What a moron.
Leahy has always depended on hectoring and bullying and it's NOT working on John Roberts!
Leaky appears a tad offended by the "vastly over reading" statement. Love it!
