Teens Accused Of Killing Puppy During Burglary

The worst part of this story is that it took these thieves killing a puppy to bring the full wrath of the courts down on them. Steal a car? No big deal. Kill a dog while doing it? Lock them up and throw away the key. I guess that if they are willing to do that to a puppy then I'm glad the owner didn't go out to check on the dog, he might have been next.

I guess it's a sad commentary on our society when you hear about people killing people all day and you shrug your shoulders, but when someone beats a puppy to death you want to shove a red hot poker up his a$$ while he is being drawn and quartered slowly on top of a fire ant hill.

Be happy that liberals draw the line somewhere. If they can feel for a pupply, then maybe, over time, they can evolve to having some feelings for their fellow man.

A burglar breaks into a house at night. As he quietly creeps across the floor he suddenly hears a voice, "Jesus is watching you!".

He stops dead still and listens, but he doesn't hear anything.

He shines his flashlight around the room and he doesn't see anyone.

He takes another step. Again he hears "You better be careful, Jesus is watching you!"

Again he stops and remains still. Nothing. He takes another step..

"Oh ho, you're in trouble now. Jesus is watching you!"

He shines his flashlight around the room again. This time in the upper corner of the room he sees a parrot on a perch. The parrot says, "I told you to be careful, Jesus is watching you!"

He goes up to the parrot and shines his light in its face.

"Who are you?", he asks.

"Fishbowl" the parrot replies.

"What fool would name their parrot fishbowl?" he asks the parrot.

"The same fool that named his killer rotteweiler Jesus" the parrot answers.

Hey I'm sure they're two great kids who just made a mistake. It would be a shame to ruin their whole lives over one little incident.

On a more serious note, the killing of the puppy should be a reason to take the crime more seriously - if they are capable of so nonchalantly beating a dog to death, it shows they are quite capable of violence.

there are thieves who, when surprised, run away. Then there are thieves who stay and get violent when surprised.

The latter are obviously more dangerous and usually graduate to even worse acts.

If they would do this to a puppy, they could easily do this to a person.

Murderers often begin by killing small animals. I'm not talking about hunting or slaughtering an animal raised for food, I'm talking about killing an animal just for the sake of killing it.

Good point. Psych profiles have shown that almost all serial killers (1) wet the bed at a late age, (2) set fires for fun as kids, (3) tortured or killed animals as children.

If these guys spend any time in jail, it will be for killing the puppy.

And the scariest thing about these kids is they really, REALLY enjoy setting fires and torturing animals.

I mean they live for it.

OK, and the second scariest thing is that when they figure out adults think it's bad, they don't stop doing it, they just learn to hide their emotions about it. And of course, escalate to bigger things, like people.

I think it's the same kind of thing when you think about someone beating up a person of their own size---versus a baby. Which would make you get madder? Beating up a baby or a kitten or a puppy...that is a real low life.
