Foster was airlifted to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the head and shoulder. He was arrested just before 2 p.m. Saturday.One more shot may have finished the job.

Winner of the worst written story of the day award. You're not kidding. Most of the facts are there but it's as if the "writer" was inspired by Jackson Pollock and threw the words at the story instead of presenting a coherent narrative.

I'm glad you said that I had to go back and read it 3 times. Yet I'm still left wondering how the victim died on the flooe after fleeing and at age 36 how she is considered over 60. Except that I figured that the neighbors wife having been hit on the arm and being at least as old as her husband warranted the extra hate crime againts a geezer charge!

"I told him to stop beating her, or I'm going to get my gun," Ventrello said. "He said 'I got a gun too,' so I went and got the gun. I said 'stop or I'll shoot.' He didn't stop, so I shot him." WTF??? The time Ventrello wasted by warning the murderer--twice--probably cost Brewster her life. When someone is being beaten with a crowbar in your home, you get your gun and shoot the attacker. There is no time for delays or threats.
