Which means it is rudimentary and probably not as effective as it could be. Besides that, I honestly wonder, given that these are foreign terrorists and NOT Iraqis, if they have expertise to deliver such weapons. A simple bomb would burn up the chemical as well.

What I think happened is, prior to Abu Masub al-Zarqawi making that initial Internet posting on their plans to use chemical weapons against our forces in Tal Afar.........he had been watching Blazing Saddles during the cowboy scene at the camp fire, and figure if enough goons could force gas they might be able to set it off with a match or something. At any rate,
as others have mentioned, the main assault in Tal Afar appears to be over, and only goons running for their lives in panty hose and girlie wigs are going to make it out of the city, only to get picked off by roving patrols. There are only those few roads leading into the city for passage. The rest is barren landscape. And underground tunnels are only so long.......
