"As the ambassador said, the United States has helped us many times in the past so now it’s a nice thing that we can help the United States”.

I agree with this opinion. No country in the world would come to our aid the way that the US would, so it's nice to be able to turn around and help you guys out for a change.

They are shipping I believe 9.1 Million barrels a day across the border to us.

Want cheaper oil? Explore here, drill here (that includes CA Coast, FL Coast, and ANWAR), refine here, build more refineries, build NucPower plants, etc and tell the environutties and NIMBIES enabled by the ACLU to SHUT UP.

Awesome. This is most welcomed.

Now if the Democrats would just stop stepping on Katrina victims, we'd be stylin'.

I am pretty sure we get more oil from Canada than from anywhere else.

Not sure it is economically viable to drill extensively here, not unless the price goes up even higher (which, I for one don't want).

No not exclusively but blame the NOT economically viable part on the GREEDY AFL-CIO power brokers, cause it's sure not going to the workers. They are what broke the Merchant Marine Service. We used to be the #1 and now try and find a US Flagged merchant vessel.

Point taken. I never cared for Celine myself. I thought it was extremely rude of her to be a accepted a guest in the US and criticize the govt hurricane response. There's a time to bite your tongue, Celine.

Appreciate the help. Really do. But may one add there are other ways to help as well?

Sarcasm, eh?

We'll forgive you this time, but you'll have to keep Celine Dion.

;-)

There's a time to bite your tongue, Celine.

"They are shipping I believe 9.1 Million barrels a day across the border to us. "

From what I understand, the Devonian Basin in western Canada has a limited amount of natural oil and natural gas. That's why the tar sands project has been trying for years to squeeze out oil from the tar sands. That's also why the gas pipeline companies are looking towards building LNG (liquid natural gas) terminals on the eastern US coast to convert shipped LNG back to its gas form. They are having to look to innovative techniques to squeeze out more oil and gas because it isn't a never-ending supply in Canada.

LOL. Don't want Celine back either. I remember she caused controversy between Anglos and Francophones during an award ceremony. I wasn't very impressed with her after that.

I like your byline: (" The liberal party is not corrupt" - Prime Minister Paul Martin). He really said that? Snicker. Snicker.
