The telephone poll was conducted Sept. 6-7 among 1,000 Americans. This poll included an oversampling of African Americans to ensure there were enough interviews for reporting results in that demographic group, the center said.

Please read details of polls, do not take push polls at value. This shows that they had to oversample not only Democrats, but black Democrats that are like 90% Democrat to get results they were happy with. Please tell me why I should be depressed.

I'm open to cheering up. I just would like to see the Bush administration fight back against that hostile press. It seems they are out to destroy him and I think they smell weakness. I'd like to see the President fight back....

that would cheer me up even more.

Fellow Freepers:

At the suggestion of writer Michelle Malkin last Friday, I have cobbled together a blogsite called Texas Clearinghouse for Katrina Aid to serve as a clearinghouse for refugee efforts in Texas.

Texas is getting more refugees than any other state -- that's fine, we'll take them all -- but we need help providing them with food, clothing, medicine, and shelter. We need help taking care of their pets, too.

If you are a refugee, you can information that will help you find relief. If you want to donate or volunteer, you can find someone who needs you. Believe me, there are a lot of organizations who need your help.

Right now the site mostly covers Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas but I'm adding more every night. My wife was down at Reunion Arena in Dallas Tuesday handing out care packages and spiritually ministering to the refugees as a representative of her employer. She says that the situation is tragic and that there's a lot of work to be done. There are so many children who don't know where their parents are or even if their parents are still alive.

There are a lot of churches and other organizations in Texas that need help in dealing with the problem and I would appreciate it if you would get the word out.

Many thanks,

Michael McCullough

Stingray blogsite

I read that a convoy of NG coming down from Meridian had to get out and chop their way through the downed trees. Took a long time to get to the coast. TV hasn't made people aware that there was severe damage for many, many miles inland, some throughout the whole state.

Well, I don't seek to cheer but I'll give you facts.

They've been out to get him since before he became Governor.

They've smelled blood with every new "story" that catches their eye.

The question isn't what the Democrats think or intend. Their intention is to destroy the President and take Power by whatever means necessary. They've failed everytime. Over a decade of failures against this President.

The question is what is reality.

Reality is that the American people remain in the breakdown they were before the election. Which is in the Reps favor by an edge. That hasn't changed. Reality is that the President is not being abandoned by the base. To sink the President that would have to be the case. Reality is that the Dems are afraid. They are desperate. If they were not, they would not act irrationally. They are in a position of weakness no matter how it may seem differently because they yell louder. Facts are on our side.

And while I give there are too many Americans that countenance their insanity, they haven't been able to grow those numbers. Which means while sizeable, it remains the minority.

There is nothing to fear in otherwords. Do we have to keep pounding the facts? yes. because the Dems keep pounding and never relent. We've seen what happens with the war when we don't counter then everyday. But, it never holds. They pounded Reagan for years, thought they had erased him. He died, and we saw their failure. It doesn't work over the long term.

But more than this, allowing a poll that even admits it's a push poll, any room for credibility...it's unproductive. It isn't based in reality. It makes no sense to allow manipulation foothold. PEW polls are propaganda. That's the truth.

Thanks for the response. We can hope the American people will see through this nonsense. Just read an article from Reuters where officials are now starting to doubt the 10,000 dead figure given by the heroic mayor of NO.

That is great news. But guess how Reuters is spinning it:

1) irresponsible mayor spouts off unconfirmed death figures with no evidence
2) hero mayor exaggerates death figure to get attention from a slow moving Bush Administration

Not hard, huh????
