CNN has been disguising Bush hatred as hurricane coverage.

People aren't stupid, most of the time...

It's the politicians, the media, the hacks and pundits (which btw used to be a pejorative and should still be something you'd yark up) who created the idiocy and moronic speculation on

MONDAY starting with that (fortunately he's got wealth because he sure is stupid and couldn't make it outside the family if his name wasn't..) Robert Kennedy.

Earth to Flacks and Hacks: We have seen the enemy and it isn't just AlJazeera.

I think this is the poll Rush mentioned yesterday. He said there were some polls that were coming out either the middle of the week or weekend. He said, when you see the BASTARDLY RATS(my words) go ballistic or heighten their attack on the president they haven't gotten the results they are looking for!

I hope the democrats keep demanding an investigation, because that's the best way for all the corruption to be uncovered.

What was done with all the funds sent to Louisiana? Why wasn't the plan they filed with the feds carried out?

Perhaps we should eliminate FEMA all together and form a new, smaller more efficient agency that will move quicker and eliminate a lot of red tape.

Perhaps the National Guard in every state should be charged with constant testing and drills for the various plans that are in place so that when something happens, everyone knows what must be done.

He was emoting this on TV

Truly, my bile rose at the utter hypocracy.

And now Harry Reid is going on and on about what a wonderful man Rehnquist was.

Now that he's dead it's okay to tell the truth about this man.

We hve Alan Dershowitz calling Rehnquist a republican thug......

They've already escalated the anti-Bush rhetoric on CNN this morning. The poll results did not achieve what they wanted, so they are pushing harder.

Miles O'Brien on CNN has been particularly vicious. I've already written to CNN once to complain about his demonstrable bias.

CNN: the most DISTRUSTED name in the news. We need to keep hammering at this.

The funny thing is that these pinkos in the MSM are still on the blame Bush mode.

LOL, it's almost funny to listen to them talk to themselves while thinking people are actually dumb enough to believe them anymore.

How the press has fallen. It used to be an honorable profession, but it's become a caricature of what it once was. We're a first world country with a third world press.

Over my 35 years in broadcasting I did many experiments to judge what would best move public opinion in the areas covered by my radio stations.

I learned something very early on that todays media does not seem to believe. Every time I tried to tell my audience what to think, they rejected my attempts. They tended to defend those I attacked and attacked those I defended.

I finally figured it out. People do not like to be told what to think. What is effective is to lay out facts and situations that tend to lead where you want the public opinion to go. A media outlet can lay out the facts and situations but it is important for the media person not to draw any conclusions.

My first attempt at this method took on a popular city manager. I believed him to be a crook. But he had the city council and community leader support. The public seemed to like him too.

I never attacked him. I played very neutral. But we did extensive coverage of facts and details about existing situations that I thought were bad. This went on for a few days... then a funny thing started to happen. Phone calls and even people who saw me on the street started pointing out how foolish I was... Why was I just asking questions.. obviously this guy was a crook and they felt I was way too dumb to see it. They saw through him.. It just dummy old me who did not.

Over a 3 week period more and more people became outraged at what was going on. Never once did I accuse him of doing anything wrong. But with the facts and descriptions we broadcast a huge number of people drew the conclusion that he was a bad apple. After all most three weeks he resigned his job and left town in a single day.

On many other occasions over the years, I laid out details of situations with out trying to tell my audience conclusions to draw. I didn't call it that .. but it was We report You decide type situation. But I chose what to report. In those cases almost invariably the audience came to my view of the situation.. although I never expressed my view publicly.

But when ever I tried to accuse someone or report that unnamed people were accusing someone of bad actions, it mostly backfired in my face.

I think most of the MSM actually believe that people are stupid and need to be told what to think.

It has been my experience that trying to tell people what to think resulted in them telling me where to go.

Fellow Freepers:

At the suggestion of writer Michelle Malkin last Friday, I have cobbled together a blogsite called Texas Clearinghouse for Katrina Aid to serve as a clearinghouse for refugee efforts in Texas.

Texas is getting more refugees than any other state -- that's fine, we'll take them all -- but we need help providing them with food, clothing, and shelter.

If you are a refugee, you can information that will help you find relief. If you want to donate or volunteer, you can find someone who needs you.

Right now the site mostly covers Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio but I will add various churches, schools, and other charities in Ft. Worth and Lubbock tonight. My wife spent yesterday at Reunion Arena in Dallas handing out care packages and otherwise ministering to the refugees as a representative of her employer.

There are a lot of churches and other organizations in Texas that need help in dealing with the problem and I would greatly appreciate it if you would get the word out.

Many thanks,

Michael McCullough
