Margaret Thatcher could have handled this easy. She's the exception. Maggie wouldn't have cracked and nobody would have dared break down in her presence. Condi Rice could have handled this. Lots of women could handle a crisis like this, because they're good multi-taskers. The trouble is, they just don't run for public office.

I say we put them both in a steel cage filled up to their hips with human waste and let them duke it out.

She should resign, at the very least.
I find it hard to believe that nobody in that entire state is capable of forcing her to immediately step down, one way or another.
Screw political affiliations, she is obviously incompetent!

I noticed that on Sunday morning (the day before the hurricane, that is)! I was watching the news, listening to them talk about how the lanes were all one way, and looking at that footage with half the lanes gridlocked and the other half empty, and was wondering about that.

We're amazed by it, but they don't get it. "They are filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and vice; stuffed with jealousy, murder, quarrelling, dishonesty and ill-will; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God; they are insolent, arrogant and boastful; they plan evil schemes; they disobey their parents; they are brainless, faithless, heartless and ruthless."
Straight from Paul's letter to the Church at Rome. Romans 1:29-31.

O'Reilly was suggesting that Bush must have known she and the Mayor were both incompetent based on their actions leading up to the hurricane and should have seized power from the both of them. It isn't his fault they blew it, they royally screwed up and on top of that some of the people down there would have required a police escort out at the least.
Stupid local and states politicians in charge of stupid citizens. It was a time bomb waiting to happen in so many ways.

I've seen this Jefferson Parish politician in several interviews and he's a blow hard ranter.

Except, she may have BEEN on Thorazine. At any rate, she really looked spooky on every occasion I saw her.
