Know the enemy. Don't be fooled. The enemy is not stupid. The enemy is, however, diabolically evil.
No,
It was a phone interview (I think, I was doing laundry at the time in another room).
But when she made the statement about buses, I literally yelled, "What!? There were no stinkin' buses used!"
I do hope, if this is true, that someone keeps the interview on tape and then plays the data about the buses.
If it is true, she looks like a bigger fool than she already is.
What do you mean by "they have hit the political jackpot"? You will be greatly mistaken if you think that the Democrats are going to win on the ballot box and take power back because of what happen in New Orleans, greatly mistaken.
Injecting ion beams into a hurricane to strengthen it, THAT'S a whacko conspiracy plot.
Sacrificing lives to further a political agenda and ideology... that's been standard operating procedure for some throughout history. Or have you forgotten Hitler... Stalin... etc., etc., etc.?
Get a clue.
We will never defeat this enemy until we understand, and accept, the true nature of it.
Don't know about that, but it's made the BBC website.
"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity."
I just began a list I am copying into Notepad entitled "Great Quotes From FR." hehehehe.
NO! I missed that! At any time (eight days later) the video should be out showing all these buses picking people up. Oh right, and after they "picked people up" they drove all the way back to NO and parked the buses in a parking lot so they would be trashed when the hurricane hit.
They THINK they've hit the political jackpot. But as the Bible says: He who rolls a stone, will have it roll back on him.
The Mayor is Blaming Blank-o too.
And the campaign will be led by black "slave owners" Je$$e Jack$on and Al $harpton.
Look,
I am sincerely hoping that someone picks up on this,
because she was ADAMANT about buses being used.
If it is true that they weren't, then Damn, she is more toast than she already is.
Oh yeah, and while she started out the interview realtively articulate, by the end of it, she was starting to sound more and more ditzy. She can't speak worth squat.
Are there any videos or pictures of evacuation efforts before the storm hit?
I remember seeing a lot of 'grid lock' on the highways because they were only using the 'outbound' lanes, instead of opening up the 'inbound' lanes so people could be out quicker.
Wait a minute,
You mean the DIDN'T turn the lanes around during the evac?!?
I thought that was SOP for a city.
GEEZ LOUISE!
How insane is this getting.
And I'm still REAL curious about the whole bus thing.
Gee, Laz, that is cynical, even by prevailing local standards...
Here's what I see happening..in the days after, and in fact leading up to, Katrina, the Dems and MSM immediately laid the blame for this on President Bush. Both Nagin and Blanco were pointing at the feds.
As time went on and more and more facts came out, it became abundantly clear there was a massive, massive failure on the part of local and state governments to provide any action to evacuate New Orleans. Although the MSM tried, and is STILL trying, to lay the blame on Bush, an AP poll that came out a few days ago shows (I believe) 44% say Bush is doing a fine job in the aftermath (I think this number is very low given the demographics normally used for such polls), and that 75% of Americans believe the problem exists at the local and state levels. Sensing that the backlash is going to come at them, Nagin and Blanco, although still trying to blame the feds, are now beginning to point the finger at each other in an attempt to save their own political asses. It will only get worse between the two.
Prediction: Nagin will be re-elected mayor, since things are so fixed down there he can't help BUT be re-elected. (I'm sure those buses will be repaired/replaced in time for use to get people to the polls, and I hope someone has a camera ready when it happens).
Blanco will be herded off somewhere and forgotten.
I would like to see some news reporter ask the mayor and the governor how they survived the storm -- what they did, where they were and what provisions they had in stock.
