She was probably afraid of appearing alone. Someone might ask her the hard questions.

These guys will ask the questions that bring out the entire story. This is not a pretty sight. I should have clarified that these were my suggestions to the President should he appoint such a commission...it isn't really a commission that exists...yet.

You were the first person on the thread to get it RIGHT.
EVERY attack by the 'Rats and the Lamestream media is designed to deflect blame away from the state and local officials. This is not to say that the Federal Govt response was perfect -- but the primary responsibility was state and local.

Doesn't seem she took in any sun while there. Were she in Bill holed up in their bat cave plotting their next move?

From the article:
"It has become increasingly evident that our nation was not prepared," Clinton, D-N.Y., said in a letter to Bush asking him to set up a "Katrina Commission."
Let's see... you sent a letter over a holiday weekend when the chances are that it won't even be read or responded to for two days.
I suppose this will be an "independent" commission, aimed at getting at nothing but the truth.
Hillary, please... do us a favor and just go shopping for another power pants suit and STFU.

Yup.
Reminds me of a Kids Say the Darnedest Things story:
My teacher just got back from her honeymoon in Hawai'i. She says she had a good time, but I don't believe her.
She doesn't look the least bit tanned...

yes, but you have to understand that the Dems will prepare and coach their witnesses - drawn from the pool of corrupt and irresponsible LA and NO Dem politicos - to all sing the same tune. so far, our side has been reluctant to point this out (with a few exceptions). I hope that will change this week as talk radio ramps up our counter-attack.

My husband is trying to defend himself against a liberal. The lib is arguing that if Bush declared Louisiana a disaster area before the hurricane hit (last Sat.), he was negligent because he should have had supplies shipped and ready and waiting outside of the state for use after the hurricane hit.
Did Blanco not accept the aid or was there a breakdown in communication that supplies never got into LA?
Does anyone have a source for WHY no supplies were moved in right after the hurricane? Was that FEMA's job or was that under the jurisdiction of Blanco?
Thanks.

Why hasn't Hillry demanded an environmental impact study regarding pumping toxic water in NO into the lake???
I do not know the quality of the water in the lake, but liberals usually demand impact studies just to dig a shovel of dirt or fill a pothole.
I am not hearing from the environmentalist crowd over this, only about 'wetlands', and am wondering why?
To: johnny7
The libs simply want the opportunity to put out their version of what happened in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The last thing we need is more politicians sitting on their duffs "thinking".

I know we have the facts, but we have to anticipate the moves by the loony, black helicopter following, conspiracy-minded, Coast-toCoast AM Noury-Bell wacko, BendOver.org, Michael Moron, Sheehan crying, lying, lazy, stupid MSM left.
Could you point out in those photos where the grassy knoll and Karl Rove were?

a 9/11-style probe into how the federal government responded to the crisis. How the Federal gov't responded? Yes, a 9/11 style probe indeed (which started investigation to cover from 1998 on, after the Gorelick years).
