I also heard that New Orleans lacked a hurricane evacuation and preparedness plan, which is a bunch of garbage too, because someone posted here on FR a few days ago the exact text of the plan from the Governor's own webpage. The Governor just didn't follow through with the plan "as is", is what the problem is. One guest on MTP on Sunday said there were things wrong with the plan. There was not a thing wrong with the plan, the only thing wrong is that it was right in the hands of incompetent public officials, namely the Gov. of LA and the mayor of NOLA.

"Aren't there any blacks in Mississippi and Alabama? How come there doing so good?
Oh, I already heard. They have Repubs in power so Bush helped them firstest and mostest. Just axe anybody."
I would be laughing real hard at your reply if it all wasn't so disgusting. Still, I managed a smile...

Welcome GF Man, I'm kinda new here, but you are correct! The responsibility rests with the plan originated with the Mayor! Beyond that it goes with the Governor! In my state the FED ain't mov'in in without permission! Period. That's the way it works in every state. The mayor of NOLA is so incompetent, he thought he had to get orders to evacuate people from the President.

Could you elaborate a bit more about the tentacles?
The only thing I know, is that if you take any value of "a", and add Clinton to it = you get corruption.

Bush helped them firstest and mostest.
I know you're being sarcastic, but i do believe the other states didn't get federal help firstest or mostest. The situation in N.O. was more critical as the danger was still in progress. If those other states appeared to be in better shape it's because their state govts took action. And their citizens didn't behave like animals.

Let's just say: You know how the libs blame Bush for everything, and I mean everything, that goes wrong?
Well, I could blame Clinton for SO many things ,(too numerous to list here.)
The only difference is that I am right.

Do not categorize the good people of NO with the underground element of a flooded city, Thanks

First off DON'T tell me what to do!
Secondly, I said the people of the other states didn't behave like animals. That's different than saying that all New Orleanseans acted like animals. You're being overly sensitive. I've been to N.O. many times, which i wouldn't have done if the people i came in contact with weren't gracious.

"and their citizens didn't behave like animals?"
Only a tiny percent of the citizens of NO acted badly. I saw many, many, many people helping each other, and being patient in the most terrible circumstances imaginable.
I don't think any of us can relate to how awful, and frightening, it must have been to endure that. The people did pretty well, all things considered.
