I don't think B.I.T.S. is inevitable. But if it does come, it will not come at a time predictable within 3 weeks. The situation would deteriorate rapidly.

And even then, deterioration will be local, not global. Your neighborhood might even notice little effect but the change in news reporting.

I hope that sooner or later the MSM discovers that New Orleans did have a written emergency plan to cover the evacuation of the poor, but that the idiot mayor of New Orleans ignored it, and allowed the evacuation buses to be ruined by the flood, forgotten.

And further, that the evacuation plan was written by Jamie Witt, who now steps in to finish executing his own plan that had a botched start.

Thanks for your concern...but I'm an old-timer here...I've been here before some of those who would brand me ever lurked.

I could care less if they think me "chicken little" or some sandwich board wearing moron crying "The end is near!"...If you cannot look at our National situation after Katrina (We lost .5% GDP! GDP FOLKS! And climbing, btw!!!) and then look at the world and not see the $hitstorm that is coming hard, then you need to grab another beer, and stay out of the way of those of us who do!

Here's a little tickler...what if we get another Gulf storm that hits say Galveston...or Houston? What if our lovely Illegal Infiltrators pop up and hit another major population/shipping center? Would our economy withstand another big hit? If interest rates spike, the housing bubble pops...what then? How MANY would declare bankruptcy...only to find that the new rules that go in to effect in October don't allow them to escape their own greed and irresponsibility?

Given that we now are severely curtailed in refining and importing, and prices are thru the roof and climbing...what happens if the Islamazis make a move on Israel now?

If Israel strikes back, what if the Islamazis demand we abandon her in exchange for the crude oil flow? And what if Chavez shuts us off from Venezuela?

I think a number of their supervisors stayed, like the story of the guy calling for supplies and stating that 22 of his officers had left their post. Hopefully, many will know the truth. Lets's just pray that their voices are the ones heard.
