Mine expire in 12/05; I have had them since 9/11. My husband had a fit because I spent 80 bucks. Now I have to get some more. I think they are cheaper these days.
I stopped after the first sentence - LOL !!!!
******Question: What is the minimum time with half life's, corrosion, and what not, would a nuke be useless will the supplies they are in-casted in? 3 month? 1 year? If Binny can't get supplies for the nukes, they are useless. I'm interested in the sigh of relief date....thanks.
A short maintenance schedule is an intriguing feature of portable nuclear devices, which is particularly important from the counterterrorism perspective: If that information is correct, such devices would be useless or have limited utility after only a few years, begging the question of whether terrorists would envision the same purpose for such devices as the Soviet Union. The period between routine maintenance--only six months--might seem very short, but short maintenance periods appear to be a typical feature of all Soviet warheads.
Without detailed knowledge of the design of Soviet warheads, it would be impossible to know which components needed replacement at what time intervals. Two potential candidates are tritium and the neutron generator, which may use radioactive materials that decay over time. It seems possible, for example, that Soviet designers balanced on the threshold, using only just enough plutonium to achieve critical mass and relied on tritium to generate required yield. In that case, even modest degradation of tritium could have resulted in a significant drop of yield. Thus, it would be safe to assume that without proper maintenance, portable nuclear devices might still produce chain reaction, but yield would be minimal, and with time, possibly non-existent.
Seems this story has begun anew for the Ramadamn season
Well happy Ramadan!!
ugh.
Go figure that he has done the exact same in 2006
He's got a book to pimp.
his book isint doing so well, its ranked over 49000 on Barnes and Noble and 35000 at Amazon. It should tell you something that the book is published by none other than Joseph Farah. If they werent trying to sell a book, they wouldnt say
according to an upcoming book, "The Al Qaeda Connection: International Terrorism, Organized Crime and the Coming Apocalypse," by Paul L. Williams
according to Paul Williams, a former FBI consultant and author of "The Dunces of Doomsday."
It should be no surprise that they are both sensationalists. Whenever a person in Power (Bush, Chertoff, Cheney) says the biggest threat to America is a terrorist with a WMD, They make it sound like its something that only intelligence people know and this is smoe sort of warning when all it is is the truth. i mean really, what are they susposed to say, the biggest threat facing America is a terrorist with a suicide vest? im glad they know that a nuke in any city is a huge threat.
ive found that he takes many things out of context to make it look as if he is telling the truth. for example in one article he goes Tenet told bush that warheads have been smuggled across the border. He then never says that it was later found to be bad info. He has also done it with the Hamid Mir interview which started all this.
here is the george tenet thing.

someone else on this site also pointed out that he said he was beat up and had his hearing damaged by the chechyens and then told someone else that it was the silicians or something.
He also wants us to bin laden has 88, yes 88 weapons. if Bin Laden really had 88 nukes (68 suitcase, 20 war heads) like he claims, im sure something wouldve leaked out in the mainstream media afterall storing 88 nukes for 14 years (claims he started his collection in 1992) must be a pain in the arse when you constantly have to move around.

I am not saying that this is a very real and scary threat that every single thing needs to be done to stop it
i cant help but think that Willaims along with Farah make people less sensitive to the idea and might start the cry wolf syndrome, afterall this isint the first time they have brought this up.
