I hope this hits home with everyone, cause it sure hit home with me!!!
I have started to despair when thinking of the ugly, vicious comments the political left will make every chance they get.
Truly, only prayer will get us through this as we support our President of the United States.
This will be a war of the heavenlies, that's for sure....
...Good vs. evil!
Thank you for reminding all of us of our Mission!

Nonsense. Vanity away. The more the better.

God, bless President Bush. Please grant him clarity and boldness and very thick skin. Quicken him in body mind and spirit and guide him in his decisions. Bless and protect him and use him in a mighty way and give him good success. Bless and reward him openly and prosper everything he puts his hand to. Draw him ever closer to Yourself and keep him safe. Deal with his enemies and cause them to be silenced. Your kingdom come, Your will be done. In Jesus mighty name.
Must read ping!
Thanks, PD - - this has been on my mind and you're certainly a sweetie for articulating the things that have been on my heart so well!
Bump bump bump bump ..... a thousand bumps.
First, let me mention that I love your "rants" and insights. But, the story and lesson of landing your Tomcat needs to be shouted from the rooftops. Whiners and complainers do nothing but use up oxygen. If people don't like a situation, fine, but come up with a useful alternative instead of a complaint.

I am going to ask all of you to hit your knees, and offer up prayer and support for your President.
Agreed. It will only help.
As the war in Iraq continues, and the administration deals with the crisis in the Gulf States, you are going to see and hear things that will cause you to question the Bush administration and its actions in dealing with both of these ongoing events. You are going to see Democrats and Liberals say and do things that you would not believe as they attempt to gain power through bringing down George W. Bush.
Here's where I part. While we don't need to be entirely in snipe mode, if this were a democrat in the WH and the same events had unfolded as they have unfolded over the past 4-3/4 years, this forum would have been ugly toward the President of the United States (I hate POTUS also). IT would have been unmerciful. Yes, you and others will and would say that it wouldn't have played the same way, and to a point you are likely right. However, even if it had, this forum and the other conservative media, forum and talking tongues and writers would be hammering a demo administration for the lack of preparedness both with regard to post invasion Iraq to the tepid response in the Gulf Coastal region.
This storm happened on Monday and the federal response has been tepid. I expect a heartier response from a Republican administration becaue I've been taught that they have it right. Frankly, they haven't.
You went back and talked about President Reagan and the Challenger incident. I long for leadership like Reagan's. He wasn't perfect. But in difficult times, I felt comforted by his words, his demeaner and his image. I don't get that from this President. Even in the difficult times, it is often perception that will win the day.
Your appeal, while heartfelt is also a plea to circle the wagons from criticism. The same has happened in the Catholic Church as well as just recently a large Apostolic Pentecostal church where the faithful have cried fowl with the expose of the misdeeds from outsiders and the MSM.
The general thought now is whether our work in Iraq has taken assets and people that may have been able to have been deployed earlier and quicker to assist the people of the Gulf Coast region. Was our preparedness slowed by that? It's a legitimate question that needs not to be buried by the partisans. It also is a question that needs not to be exploited by the other side until the crisis is over.
Original poster said :"We as a nation have been witness to some of the most irresponsible personal behavior imaginable"
yeah, that's for sure - the failure of fed and state governments in responding to the needs of their taxpaying citizens.
Anyone stop to think the reason we are not responding to this national emergency like we should is because we've already sent all our emergency supplies and funds to Iraq and Tsunami victims. We're drained... there is absolutely NO excuse for this slow response to the largest natural disaster to ever occur on American soil. NO EXCUSE PRESIDENT BUSH.
Not at all, Joe.
What I am suggesting is that we be more thoughtful in our comments, instead of giving the Liberals ammunition to use against us. Consider Chuck Hagel, John McCain or Lindsey Graham, who the MSM love to quote during their attacks on the President.
I think the President is well aware of our problems with his performance. I am not suggesting that we don't say anything at all, but only that we say whatever is on our minds in the most opportune and constructive way possible.
Sometimes, the man just needs our support. I think we can be flexible enough to get behind him and stay there for a short while, as he handles things. And, if we need to make our voices heard, we can send our comments to him directly, rather than let them be used as fodder for the NY Times and others. Fair enough?
Want to keep this bttt!
You rule. Awesome post.

Thank you for supporting the President. The donkey party is in a full-court press right now. Our arms need to be HIGH!! Our knees need to be bent in prayer!!
And WELCOME to FRee Republic! There's no spin here.
Two requests please. First, put me on your ping list, now that you have figured it out. Second, send me the nasty version, it probably matches my mood better.
