"It hardly wins if the majority of people don't even believe it - lol. My kids learned evolution in school and don't believe it. I learned it and don't believe it. Lots of people don't believe it. And you can't make them.

Apparently what you took out of those classes is nothing but a caricature of the theory of evolution.

Columbus's fourth ship, the San José, did fall off the edge of the world; it's been kept quiet for the last 500 years.

That's what happen when you don't know the way to San Jose.

"I'm not arguing against natural selection - that is observable. I am arguing that humans descended from apes."

Correction. We are apes. Whether you want that to be the case or not.

"The fact is its a weak theory....maybe new evidence will strenthen it but it seems new evidence is doing just the opposite. So sorry..... "

Which evidence is showing the opposite and how is it doing so? What about that new evidence is a refutation of which part of the theory of evolution.

"But no doubt, they are all in error."

Given the Episcopal position on homosexuality, it is not hard to believe that "they are all in error."

As I have said before...What strange bedfellows the evolutionists have.

I do not know the Clintons personally but I have been an excellent observer of their method of operation.

YEC INTREP

Ominous, isn't it. Like The CIA is watching. Or the Black Helicopters may be coming.

How long has he been doing the spook thing?

No need to answer. I'll do my own research.

"He wouldn't have gotten elected without Bible-believing Christians."

He wouldn't have gotten elected without any of the sub-groups that voted for him. None of those groups can claim sole credit for Bush's election. You do have a problem with logic.

Thank you so much for your post! I also have no problem with "teaching the controversy" - in any subject. I think it is good for the kids to know that there is still work to be done.

This is getting a little nuts. After all, we are still in the "Theory" stage in most of human knowledge. We know evolution takes place. We don't know "how," we don't know "how much," and we sure as hell don't know "why."

Indeed. Well said.

I don't have a problem with logic - I have a problem with people who deny God.

"Christ(=Jesus) is not the Creator."

Wrong.

Read John Chapter 1. It is clear. Christ is the Creator.

"Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made." (John 1:3)

The Bible does not say the sun travels around the earth other than as a literary device.

Martin Luther doesnt agree with you...

"This fool [or 'man'] wishes to reverse the entire science of astronomy; but sacred Scripture tells us that Joshua commanded the sun to stand still, and not the earth." - Martin Luther

Moron, Martin Luther did not write one single book of the Bible as far as I know! Your arguments are getting old and tired. Believe what you want but at least have the courtesy to respect those who disagree with you!

Christ is the Creator.

Wrong. If Christ is the Son of God and God is the Creator, how can Christ be the Creator?

Until lately, I didn't think there could be a liberal creationist...

Actually all of the energy-crystal new age wannabes would probably fit into this category too.

Your contention is that those passages were simply a literary device. If Luther didn't think so, how are we lesser scholars of the good book to tell?

Your arguments are getting old and tired.

This is my first post on the subject in this thread.

Since you don't seem to know, or afraid to post it:

>>>>
...but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
<<<<<

Oddly enough, missing from this list is the commandment to take the parables in Genesis literally.
