Did anyone see CNN's Miles O'Brien trying to get Gov. Barbour to criticize the response of the Federal Government/military? Barbour slammed him down bigtime. I'm very happy that someone, FINALLY, told the Monday morning quarterbacks in the MSM to *cram it*.

CNN is scum. I wonder if Katie has criticized the federal government's response yet?

Soledad was attempting to take cheap shots at Homeland Security Cheif and yes, Miles was trying to gig Barbour as well. Set politics aside and lets just continue to help these victims.
Miles nor Soledad would never grill Blanco or Landrieu as they did their last guest. Blanco does need to be brought to task.

I saw that little sack of sewage water, Miles O'Brien try to give Gov Haley the business. The gov was kinder than I would have been to the little schmuck. I can't believe how the news anchors remarks are so blatantly trying to stir up trouble. Disgusting.

again, he is in Baton Rouge, the capital, is he going to question blanco they way he did Haley? F- NO. She has been a complete failure. No direction, no authority, no confidence in what she is saying. Yet, she will come out smelling like roses with the elite media. Great news is , they do not vote.

I caught the end of this and I heard that Cafferty guy the other day talking about Bush's vacation. I guess it isn't even safe to check CNN during national disasters anymore.

I am sick of the reporters being so rude to the officials doing the very best they can in an impossible situation!!!
They need to be supportive and humble in the presence of such brave and courageous public servants!!!

Ya think CNN will be grilling the Mayor of New Orleans any time soon.

He failed in EVERY single aspect of his responsibility.

In spite of the issues JimRob must be having with bandwidth right now- I am REALLY glad you started this thread.

The exchange between the governor and the reporter took my breath away. O'Brien exhibited every quality I detest about the media.

Apparently there are NO grownups left at CNN.

C'mon over to general/chat, where I have started an online registry of reporters displaying 'tood.(Actually, I got booted over there from News, which was probably appropriate)

>> Barbour's looking good

They need to clone him and get rid of Blanco, who from all appearances looks completely overwhelmed. These press conferences with a dozen people competing for camera time are infuriating, pointless and a sad commentary on what some politicians consider to be their duty.

A few Freepers were praising CNN so I have clicked over from time to time. Same old BS. It's obvious they are selling ad time at about the same pace as the looters are operating in NO in an attempt to capitalize on the disaster - FNC is still running ads but at their normal hourly load.

They have allocated as much time to gasoline stories as they have to NO/MS - only surprising in that it's obvious what THEY want to talk about.

Soledad has a new shag haircut and has affected some sex-kittenish soft voice delivery quite different from her old cheerleader/tomboy nasal style. Too bad she joined the dark side. She coulda been a contendah.

It's food for another thread, but I get the sneaking feeling expressed elsewhere on FR that a disaster in Boston, LA or VA would get uninterrupted coverage.
