"President Bush has had nearly six years in office to honor his oath of office and enforce immigration laws in this country."
Unusual calendar. Mine yields less than five years. Less than four years, eight months, to be more precise. Just four years, seven months, and ten days to be even more precise.
The truth is neither Bush, or all of congress has done enough to curb illegal immigration, and that is how they all want it to stay.
So it is as much of a stretch to lay it all off on Bush, as to say "nearly six years."

The hell has been created by the Legislators in their own states. They continue to ignore all federal immigration law. They continue to provide services to illegals and in California Police officers and Other state workers are not allowed to turn in illegal immigrants for their status in this country. If they cant go to school, or the hospital, or work!! they wont come here. States need to take some responsibility for their own stench.

Hey moonbats !
If you're going to impeach Bush then you also need to impeach about 99 Senators and 425 Congress idiots !
To: goldstategop
I find the reasons of the author to be right... but the idea of impeaching America's President as of this time is simply bad...
If Americans care about this issue, (i hope they do) let's take this issue on the streets... people's power is unanimously stronger and prayers too.

Yesterday in Arizona and here in SoCal he started making noises finally about "defending the borders." Late conversion if true but welcome just the same. Probably political posturing in advance of the '06 mid-term elections. I seriously doubt we'll see any changes in border policy at any time, ever.
Cheap illegal immigrant labor is just too intoxicating an inducement for Bush's corporate handlers.

But I'm not going to let my party registration stand in the way of holding him to account for not enforcing the laws he SWORE he would uphold, and not defending the borders he MUST DEFEND IN A TIME OF WAR. No excuses, no equivocation, no partisanship can stand in the way of his accountability for those two things. He has been a complete failure on these issues, no one can deny that. He has completely ignored the will of the American people to pursue his globalist goals.
The choices that American voters have been given for the past two elections have been pi** poor, and we're paying for it. If impeachment will wake America up, I say DO IT!

If he straightens up and flies right quickly, he won't be.
He won't be impeached regardless, period. You really think it's going to happen? No wonder you're defending Farah.
Please. DUmmies LIKE illegal immigrants. Know why? They vote Democrat!
You've intentionally disregarded my point: DU wants Bush impeached. They've been trying to figure out how to get him impeached since at least November 3, 2004. They do not care what the reason is--they'd use illegal immigration as the excuse just as soon as they would Iraq. Impeaching Bush is a moonbat position: it simply is not going to happen, despite the fervent wishes of a few kooks.

But I got news for you: Bush hasn't used the money Congress appropriated for the Border Patrol! Anything else you want them to do?We'll stick with this for awhile, if you don't mind.
So, if what you claim is true, then you agree Bush should be impeached?

That may be, but could you please explain how he is wrong on this one.
I can't imagine a better way to completely destroy our war efforts and make us a laughingstock in the eyes of our enemies than impeaching the one president who actually had the balls to defend the country. You want to guarantee another terrorist attack on our soil? You want to guarantee that we don't have another president with a pair of attached testicles for the next 50 years? Then impeach Bush.
For the love of God, Bush only has a couple of years to go in his presidency, then he's out no matter what. Even if you hate his guts, he's out in just a couple of years after having been in already for a term and a half. I can't imagine a more ridiculous and pointless course to pursue than impeaching him at this point.
Furthermore, there is a big difference between high crimes and misdemeanors and job performance that you don't like. You can't impeach a president for what you feel is incompetence. You can call failing to secure the border treason all you want, but its really just bad judgement on his part, and we're not impeaching anyone for that.

Why should they? They (Congress) FUNDED 1000 more BP, and GWB hired 200. Who is the FAILURE here?Something does not add up . . .
"We've added 534 new Border Patrol agents in Arizona and 23 new aircraft," he said. "We're very aware of the frustration that exists along the border and we share some of those frustrations."
. . . A Richardson spokesman said Chertoff called the governor yesterday and assured him that security along the border is a priority for DHS and that some of the 1,000 border patrol agents expected to be added next year will be posted to New Mexico.

I wonder if President Bush would have been re-elected if he had alienated the hispanic voting bloc by closing the border? I wonder if we can win in '08 if we do it now? I want the border closed too, but I also want a republican in the WH for the next 8 years. I think that congress needs to pass a law so the blame gets spread around by everyone. (I notice Clinton didn't do it during his 8)

"Please people we are in a war with liberalism this is no time to dividing our forces. Let's wipe out the liberals first then go after wimps like Bush on immigration."You left out something. We are also at war with terrorists. The liberal Democrats in this country are allied with the terrorists, they want the USA to lose this war on terrorism to make GWB look bad. The liberal Democrats don't care what happens to the USA, they just want to elect a Hillary.
I appreciate your priorities, and a BIG welcome to Free Republic!

Farah is a nutcase. Always has been. To think that he still might be having trouble disposing of all his Y2K MREs.
