One minor correction:
I am currently in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. I served in the 71st Infantry, New York Army Guard, from 1979 to 1986 until medical conditions forced me to resign.

I found your post very uncharitable, since these were identified as new people and discussed again as naive in post 45. Please be careful of everyone's reputation and safety -- we are the ones who face these people in the street.

That picture is photoshopped, and frankly, FRiends, I think it is hitting below the belt, and I'm going to ask Mods to remove it, and also several others that appear to be personal attacks. We don't need to stoop low to get our message across.

President Bush Remembers Halabja
Saturday, 15 March 2003
President's Radio Address (Remembering Halabja)
"This weekend marks a bitter anniversary for the people of Iraq.
Fifteen years ago, Saddam Hussein's regime ordered a chemical weapons attack on a village in Iraq called Halabja. With that single order, the regime killed thousands of Iraq's Kurdish citizens. Whole families died while trying to flee clouds of nerve and mustard agents descending from the sky. Many who managed to survive still suffer from cancer, blindness, respiratory diseases, miscarriages,
and severe birth defects among their children..."
Anyone who thinks Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane
aren't behind the anti war crowd
needs to get a clue.
Remember the slaughter and torture of the people of Viet Nam by the communists
while Hanoi Kerry and Hanoi Jane cheered their commie buddies!

All FReepers owe BillF an enormous thank you for having done this gigantic job every week since March 30! I was the vacation substitute, and it was just cruel fate that BillF's vacation was scheduled the week after we finally got wide publicity, sparking such colorful, striking figures as the bikers to come out.
I couldn't imagine what hard work it was until I gave it a whack, and got little else done from Friday until today, since I didn't know how to code very well. BillF deserves enormous credit. Both his writing and photos are wonderful, and I know all of us look forward to his continuing the story he has so generously built over all these months.
None of this event could possibly have happened without BillF's tireless contributions, and those of tgslTakoma and Gadsdenman behind the camera. The pictures especially have helped us document exactly what mischief they are up to across the street.
I know we all look forward to his continuing the journal of events at Walter Reed. Take a bow, BillF!

"Virile men with long gray hair and weathered skin, they are ageless bad boys with cordially menacing attitudes. They are bikers, and not just any bikers..."
Kind of reminds me of me but I had to retire the Harley several years ago.LOL! Well, just wear the biker leather and come on out! Sneak through the parking lot behind the lines, and no one has to know you arrived in an SUV!

I just tried on my old leather jacket. Its a size 41. I now have a size 44 chest and weigh less and have a smaller waist than when I wore the jacket.
I still have my tattoos.

One of my all-time favorite blogs is www.froggyruminations.com. "Froggy" is a former Navy Seal and he is an awesome American! You should check his site out -- he has some really great commenters, too! Lots of military guys! I shared with him today what the Freepers are doing and also the Patriot Warriors. Referred him and his readers to Free Republic.

W04Man, what a great video! It really shows the scene, passing cars and all! Everybody go to post #112 and check it out!

That's debatable: at least half our record turnout of more than 73 men, women and children had served or had family in the military. Ol' Jarhead here, 1984-1993.
