If the constituencies for illegal immigration are democrat, why aren't the repubs trying to solve the problem. Do they really think these folks will vote for them if they do nothing?

absolutely true, but the Repubs are beholden to the EMPLOYERS who HIRE the illegals. So, which came first? and who is going to stop the problem, Repubs or Dems?

I wanted to attend her speech given in Cornell when she was in Ithaca a couple of years ago....unfortunately, a truck overturned on the interstate, and it took me 2 hours just to get home, so I missed it; I was very disappointed. I've never seen her in person....but I am in debt to her forever for what she did with the congressional hearings concerning "pupil abuse in the classrooms".
I admire her tremendously.
If I could draw cartoons I would draw the Statue of Liberty with a horde of illegals tunneling under her. At the head of the line would be Bush, Clinton, the ACLU and the myriad of others who want open borders passing out picks and shovels. The tunnel would be about 3/4 of the way through about to topple the idea of Liberty here in the United States.

She is the person most responsible for stopping the ERA from getting enacted. Would have been the worst disaster.
