I heard that. They also said that the southwest side of the eyewall appeared to be weakening.......... it was all pretty good news for everyone and NO in particular. They also said it was moving much faster which is a good thing.

The prayers are wonderful..but NO is still in for it.as are other areas.
I am going to lay down for a catnap until the sun comes up.
I'm looking at the a href="http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT/float-wv-loop.html">satellite water-vapor loop</a> and thinking "That's one mother of an eye!". The next thought is "That's a hell of a lot of water vapor coming around"

Although it sounds that the situation is still very critical some factors in the storm seem to have improved.
