"...The thread and issue was "Illegal immigration." Your off on unrelated issues that have little or nothing to do with the illegal invasion of our Southern border....

Smartass, what are you reading(reference my post #76)? My posts on this thread have dealt with Illegal Immigration(II) only! What "unrelated issues" did I mention that you don't understand? Frankly, I am a bit puzzled and am wondering if you are responding to the correct post.

Problem is it would be unconstitutional to deport an American.

Personally, I alway felt if we would set up our holding areas for illegal immigrants up near the Arctic circle, and sent all caught illegally entering to there, then the problem would mitigate itself.

And that isn't unconstitutional.

LOL! Don't let your kool aid drinking, leftist talking points get sidetracked by facts now. While I'm not a bot, and disagree with Bush on immigration 110%, you are clearly twisted in your passion.

Sunday August 28, 2005--Forty-nine percent (49%) of American adults now approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That's the most positive assessment since August 2.

Ras poll results

Un puzzle yourself. Your all over the web site again.
Forget your hate for GWB and focus on the thread.

#39 -- ME -- "Anita1, I don't know if President Bush is getting guidance from his folks on Illegal immigration or from his cabinet. I'm sure his father can give him insight that others can't. But, for some reason, he's totally disconnected from reality on our Southern borders. Illegal immigration has been going on for the past eight decades. It increased greatly under the Nixon administration and hasn't stopped, so there's enough blame to pass around to both parties for doing nada. However, now because of security and the social financial strain it has placed on all four border states, it must be addressed."

#51 -- YOU -- "I was beginning to think all the BushBots had quietly slipped away. GW IS the worse thing to happen to our country in it's history, I believe."

#63 -- ME --"Before you stick your foot in the wrong place...again, I recommend you go back, and re read what was written in my posts. If you've been flamed because your a George W. Bush hater, that's your problem. So don't attempt to dump your anti Bush rant onto me and expect sympathy."

#76 -- YOU -- "Smartass, Where do I begin? OK, so I'll stick my foot in in the wrong place again --IMHO GWB IS THE WORSE THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR BEAUTIFUL AMERICA IN OUR HISTORY."
"He has managed to allow II's to take over a majority part of our education system in many states, allowed II's a 30%+ stake on our prison system, the majority of public funding for uninsured medical claims is going toward II's, millions are streaming across our southern border yearly and no one knows how many are terrorists. I voted for GWB twice as TX gov, and twice as Pres, but based upon his actions/lack of action while in office, I do not believe his is intelligent enough to clean my cats liter box. The real sad part about this whole fiasco is how many of our elected officials are turning a blind eye to our problems with II just as GWB. FOLLOW THE MONEY"

Do you really believe that all of America's ills started and stopped when GWB was elected president?

Do you think conditions were any different when Clinton was in office?

You say you voted for Bush, However, do you believe if "Hanoi John" were elected president, all of our America's ills would magically disappear?

Do you blame GWB for all of America's ills?

OK, after all of your criticism and hate, how about giving some constructive solutions?

Smartass, I have stated my position on GWB and II on many threads here at FR. No need for me to rehash them, other than to say many of the problems we have faced for years have gotten lots worse under our CONSERVATIVE Pres. If you choose to blindly follow GWN and our country down the drain that is up to you.

I don't want to see a guest workers program initiated untill I see a real program to apprehend and deport the millions of illegals that are here already. President Bush needs to get with the program because if he doesn't there is going to be a bad time coming next election.

Stop placating the Illegal alien lobby and the corporations that employ them.

I knew you couldn't answer those questions.

Yes, as a Conservative Republican I'm going to follow our President. Because, although I don't fully agree with him on some issues, I believe his vision for America is more sound then being under a democrat.   Moreover, things may get fixed and may not...the Southern border will eventually be addressed, and maybe not to your liking. Nothing is perfect, including you or I.

Compared to the rest of the World, America is blessed and I firmly believe has bigger and better days to look forward to.

Therein lies the problem, we have been fed this tripe long enough, we shouldn't have to vote for a guy just because he is marginally better than the democrat.

No, the illegal immigrants aren't entitled to stay, but Americans are entitled to have their borders secure and their cities safe. I just don't see how it is plausible, politically or logistically, to get rid of the ones that are already here. I just don't see how it can be done. Sure, people will say, it is simple, just find them and deport them. Although I wish that was the way it would work, it isn't plausible. Maybe if we start holding businesses accountable, the lack of jobs will drive illegals back. That could work, except the Big Business side of the Republican Party has a monopoly on the immigration issue, and the Democrats want more potential voters to come over. I was just trying to come up with a plan that would prevent further illegal immigration.

Please explain yourself:

*"Therein lies the problem." Define the problem?

*"we have been fed this tripe long enough." What tripe?

*"we shouldn't have to vote for a guy just because he is marginally better than the democrat." Instead of GWB, who should we have voted for?

What is your opinion on our policy toward Illegal Immigration?

"Smartass, one question for you:

Well thanks. I didn't think anyone would ask...Presently, it's in a deplorable state and needs a good long term fix. To name a few ideas. I believe, that until we have sufficient U.S. Border Patrol officers trained and in in place, our military/national guard should close and secure our borders. There is no excuse why this can't be done. Legal immigration can be controlled by employer job requests publically documented through the U.S. Department of Labor and Homeland Security. After being screened and accepted, legal immigrants can be controlled through temporary tamper proof Social Security ID cards (number, photo, finger prints etc). In some manner, employers must be held more accountable. Note: I used to be death against national numbered ID's, but as the times have changed, so has my thinking, not now as a matter of civil rights, but as matter of security. We simply have to know who everyone is, where their from, and how they got here. There's more, but that's enough for now!

According to administration and congressional officials who took part in a series of White House meetings this summer, Bush does not favor requiring illegal immigrants to be sent home to apply for the visas.

Let the record show the so-called leaders have thrown in their lot with the lawbreakers.

I'm a very good listener!
But, when you whine, but can't explain it...then, it's just rant and not a problem at all, right!

Since all of you folks were so nice to me, I thought I would leave you something to read when you're really feeling down and out.

YOU ARE SO BLESSED

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week.

If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.
