Another person seeking to help Rush "better" himself and, apparently, the entire stream of talk radio.

I'm sure they'll all take your words to heart.

My advice? There is this little device known as an off button. Don't like it, shut it off. I choose to keep mine on.

Good advice, which I often follow since I get tired of the REPETITION on talk shows.

As I get tired of the repetitive opinions from everyone that has to throw in their two cents about talk radio, but such is life. I opened a thread where it was known everyone would be doing so I can't claim I didn't consent in some form to hearing those opinions.

The worse host, by far, is Michael Savage. He gives conservative talk radio a bad name. When liberals excoriate conservative talk, they use Savage as an example and rightly so.

You show your ignorance here, pal. Savage was first on the border, first with the Swifties, first on Able Danger. Savage's Conservative bona-fides are beyond reproach. Who the hell are you?

And what kind of pussy attitude is it to worry about what liberals think, and what offends them? To me that is a sign that Savage is right, not wrong.

Rush is the MASTER.

He's brilliant, day in and day.

He's not a prude though, his show is for adults. He also has excellent taste in movies and TV shows.

There is nothing "shock jock" about him. He manages to keep his show entertaining without resorting to that foolishness.

Above all, Rush is a genius at political commentary. He often gets to the essential facts of a subject; facts others overlook. More often than not I find myself appreciating how Rush articulates the very essence of a subject, and therefore illuminates it for me.

He faces his adversities with courage. He has feet of clay and never claimed not to.

Hannity he just isn't qualified to do a three-hour radio show.

What a dumb statement.

Of course he is qualified. The market is the judge of that, not you. (Author shakes head in disbelief of the utter stupidity he's just read).

Are you sure you're 'qualified' to post here? Seesh.

Even though I get tired of the repetitive nature of talk shows, my son-in-law has learned a lot from Sean Hannity and votes Republican.

I love Laura's show, but agree that her taste in music is wanting. She's still the best, however.

The most overrated talk show host has got to be Sean Hannity. His show consists of promoting his TV show (40%), and telling us what will be on in the next hour (25%)

Most stations carry Hannity on right after Rush. IMHO he just does a repeat of Rush, which is boring. He never has anything "new" / original...just Rush redux.

Rush is the most informed, IMO, and his analysis' are on the money most of the time. I have to respect a man, too, who carries a three hour program on his own with no guests. Rush is the man.

I've listened to him from almost the beginning (lately only now and then) and I have to mostly agree. He's probably the smartest and best informed political radio talk show host ever. I think it's important to realize that while Rush believes what he says, his first priority is making money. He's never hidden that fact and is actually quite brazen about saying so.

He's really interested in selling newsletters. I don't recall what a year's subscription costs but take that number and multiply it by, say, 1/3 of his radio audience just for ballpark. It makes a tidy little figure in addition to his huge income from hosting. More power to him! Doing well while doing good is a time-honored American tradition.

Most entertaining and biting commentary to be found on the Glenn Beck Show

Did you hear that "gloating commentary" on his show the day after the 2004 election? That has GOT to be one of the absolute best, funniest, ROTFLOL moments ever in the history of radio/television. DH and I laughed so hard we were literally hurting. If you've never heard it, try doing a search on google...it is a forever keeper.

I listen to Rush in the car with my boys - they are homeschooled, and Rush is a great education for them. It's also a great springboard to talk about current affairs with them - we have some great discussions. My kids can hold their own with most liberals.

He's fuuny too, keeps us entertained. I often am also ferrying around kids that aren't mine. So when he starts the sexual talk, the radio has to go off, and I wish I didn't have to do it. He's been slightly worse since his stay at rehab and divorce.

But I adore Rush. I'll take him as he is.

When he's not busy promoting himself -- which is most of the time -- Hannity's show sounds like a seventh grader describing what he heard on Rush that day.

Bingo!
