Hehehehe.....
Sounds like an epidemic. If these governors keep saying there is a crisis....Congress and the POTUS might have to ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING. Other than amnesty.
"If any real attention is to be drawn to the issue, a specifis tax to support illegal (alien) expenditures should be passed. Make it a payroll tax."
Totally agree as long as on your check stub where it lists the taxes that come out, it is written "Illegal Immigrant Tax." Think that would get folks a little pissed?
...you hope.
Here's a local persepective on it. Delegate Frederick is up for re-election this year and Governor Warner recruited his opponent, a long-serving member of the Board of County Supervisors. Jeff has been running a flawless campaign while his opponent has done virtually nothing, hoping that her 20+ years in office and name ID will carry the day against a freshman legislator. Jeff's opponent has been open to a day laborer center being established in the county. Meanwhile, Jeff is the only Hispanic member of the General Assembly, so he has the kind of insulation to attack on this issue that Bill Richardson has down in New Mexico.
The bottom line is that either Warner supports his position which helps him in this swing district or Warner opposes his position / does nothing and that allows him to attack Warner and his handpicked candidate. Let's just say that Jeff won't be having any Lazio-Hillary moments against his 70+ year old grandmother opponent. He's running this race as him vs. Warner the tax-hiker, do-nothing governor who is out to get him.
How many years have you been a Republican?
Zero
Richmond isn't far behind.
(Neither is the rest of the nation - but . . THIS IS NOT A CRISIS!)
From coast - to coast, courteousy of one each wide open border.

ALEXANDRIA - It took a violent machete attack and a brazen daylight shooting for the Mara Salvatrucha street gang to command the kind of attention police believe it deserved as it grew in Northern Virginia for more than a decade. In May 2004, a 16-year-old boy in Fairfax County had several fingers chopped off in an attack by a machete-wielding assailant. A week later, a 17-year-old youth was shot dead in Herndon by an assailant on a bicycle.
Police blamed both attacks on Mara Salvatrucha, the Latino street gang known as MS-13 that has grown from its beginnings in the barrios of Los Angeles into what is considered the fastest-growing and most dangerous gang in the country, its menacing presence now detected in more than 30 states.
You've got me beat by 35 years.
Wow! And that has absolutely nothing to do with anything!
Relativism works. Just look at Washington, D.C.
They're always welcome in Montgomery County!!
