Sounds like a fencing match. Perry and thrust.

The problem is, thanks (IMHO) to uncontrolled illegal immigration and the continuing exit of middle-class Republicans from the Golden State, the Democrats are very, very firmly in control of both houses of the Legislature here, and the Governorship is probably lost to Republicans except for the occasional glamor boy RINO like Ahhh-nuld. This is on the whole a "pro-choice" (pro-abortion) state, and one where most residents seem to regard few types of sexual activity or "family" arrangements as "out of bounds." So the odds are stacked against us traditional types, unfortunately. This bill---like I said---is just an effort to stack the odds even more, and prevent victories like Prop. 22 from ever happening again.

This is pure thought control -- and you can bet the punishment for those convicted of thinking bad thoughts about queers will be vicious and brutal.

The legislation, sponsored by Equality California (EQCA), would prohibit the use of any negative appeal based on prejudice against LGBT people by candidates or campaign committees who sign the voluntary pledge provided for in the Code of Fair Campaign Practices.

Anybody know the repercussions of someone choosing not to sign this "voluntary pledge"?

Not really so tough. I would have to say socialist liberal left, without question, since they are the ones most DOR illegal immigration, as well as the rest of their ideology.

Hate speech in action. And hate speech means - you guessed it - hate thought. And that requires rectification - re-education camps, forced medication, re-training, and why should people who are guilty of hate speech and hate thought be allowed to raise their children? It would be creating a new generation of "haters".

This is seriously, seriously evil.

I've read Lothar Machtan's "Hidden Hitler" and it is good read, along with "The Pink Swastika". But Hitler did not "wipe out" homosexuals; very few were rounded up in concentration camps (in fact, many supposed homosexuals placed in camps were there on a false charge - many were in reality political undesirables) and there was no extermination of homosexuals as there was of Jews and other ethnic groups like gypsies. Most homosexuals who died in the camps died of disease, starvation and overwork.

Read the "Pink S." for a well-researched history of homosexuality and Nazism.

Don't "go negative"? Any statement, comment or question which does not toe the "gay is good" line will be considered hate speech.

Did you register on FR to support the gay agenda, by any chance?

I mean, this is only your third comment you've ever made here, so this must of great importance to you.

So, what's a bigger threat to California and the country at large: the socialist liberal left (hence PC) or illegals?

From what I see, I'll gladly take Mexican Catholics...

Ahrnold has too many "friends" in hollyweird. Do not underestimate the power of his inlaws to influence him.

Arnold won't be able to call Democrats “girly-men” anymore?

You mean whichever ones are left? The Catholic Church in Mexico and much of Latin America is losing ground to evangelical sects.

Further, you are wrong to assume that the Mexican Catholic Church is politically conservative or anti-"socialist liberal left." The Mexican Church is as much of a pillar of the "social justice" constituency down there as the Conference of Bishops is up here. And you can say the same for their parishioners. (And I say this as a practicing Catholic).

Heh, heh---is Elton John gay?

Correction: is Elton John extremely gay?

Maybe I'm missing something, but it doesn't seem to be an attack on free speech.

So why legislate non law? Why legislate what is voluntary? Why legislate anything to do with a CHOSEN depraved sexual activity as if it warrants some inherent minority status? Explore a colon become a minority -whoopee!!!

The gay activists are attacking the very core of First Amendment freedoms -- free political speech!

I notice that the article simply spews a bunch of platitudes, but doesn't give examples of the so-called gay bashing that goes on. Can't say that I've ever heard any in a Statewide campaign, at least, not that I can remember.

I can remember one. When Pete Knight's initiative to clearly define marriage as between one man and one woman was on its way to overwhelming victory (61-39%), the Gay-stapo got desperate and used still photos of the Fred Phelps whackjobs protesting some gay gathering in their TV ads against the measure. The implication was that Phelps (who lives in Kansas) and his motley crew of name-calling America-hating "Christians" were behind the proposition. That was the extent of the gay-bashing; that which the "victims" brought in themselves.

Californians saw through the ads. But after the people spoke, the lawyers went into action. The rest is history.
