I didn't loose anyone in 9/11; I live in the Poconos, but I can tell you even around here, people were like walking zombies....
About a month later, on one of our local news channels, I was watching the news and they requested for people to go to the park and rides and retrieve the autos that people in 9/11 left behind.
Down the lane from us, a guy that would come every year from N.Y. to deer hunt, I haven't seen him since, and his property went for tax sale last year, I guess I know what happened to him.
Mad doesn't even cover the sick feeling I get. My husband was being treaded at Sloan-Kettering at the time, and we went in to N.Y. in Dec. We went to Ground Zero, oh my, I don't have the words that explain the pain I felt. And the anger that came over me was unreal. In the back of my mind, I thought: "All of this could have been prevented if clinton had not of been busy in the oval office". Don't ask me why I thought that, right at that time, but I did.
I can feel the anger of the people left behind, and I don't blame them a bit...remember what the lady said: "I stood there and watched my husband die, and I couldn't do anything about it" can you imagine? I hope I never do...
Here is a link to the resources that they used.
