Only liberal communist pinkos try to suppress thought with the "You can't use generalizations" speech. Generalizations are either two ways. They will hit the nail right on the head or they miss their mark entirely. In this case, they correctly apply. The logic of Rush's generalizations pegs you so hard, you can stand it. The truth is still ringing in the void between your ears. They only response you have is to parrot the liberal mantra on positions you can't argue.

Well, I don't think that we are where we are today solely because of liberals.

But I'm no friend of political correctness either. I'd rather someon be called 'fat' than some BS term like 'weight challenged'.

Thanks for your comments anyway, concerned about politics.

Rush Limbaugh is a passionate patriot and a brilliant, powerful speaker certainly unique in this country since its founding.

And he "gets it." He really gets it.

The only sad thing is that the people who need most to listen to Rush never do.

Avant_garde, may I ask you one question: what have I done to you? Honestly.

You might say, "well, because you're a liberal, you're responsible for everything bad going on in this country". But I've only been in this world 21 years and five months. I've been "politically aware" only about five. Therefore, I couldn't be held directly accountable for things like 'Roe v. Wade'.

I haven't insulted you. I could have been like some liberals who might post on this site, simply insulting you all without backing themselves up with fact. They, like Michael Moore, only give the rest of us a bad name.

If I am wrong about the issues I am discussing, I will correct myself and move onwards.
Ringo

Yep, you can really understand why people say what they, if you read their post history.

Let's put it this way. Look at the biggest issues to your party right now.
You lefties have to learn to see past your genitals and self gratification and start thinking long term. Will a policy build up the people and the nation, or will the policy put the citizens into a state of moral and governmental decay that can never be repaired?

If you're not liberal by the time your 21, something is psychically wrong with you. If your not conservative after that, something is mentally wrong with you.
Once you grow up, start paying taxes, and have a few children of your own, things will change for the better for you.
If not, you failed life 101. You'll become a social parasite sitting around the TV watching CNN and waiting for your government check to arrive. You'll remain a democrat voter forever. You'll have to, or you'll not get your share of the government cheese.

Ringo ... your courteous response to the flames thrown your way have moved me to point out a couple of things to you.

It was the caller to Rush who was not only generalizing, but stating falsehoods when he said there are no sons of our elected representatives serving in the war ... there is no valid point in what he was saying.

The caller's statement that the war is not a noble cause is merely his opinion, and is a clue to where his thoughts and sentiment lies ... against the war.

I would argue it is a most noble cause, this war in Iraq ... we have liberated 25 million people, freeing them from the yoke of terror and brutality that was Saddam's regime. All the al quada-types flooding into that country are seeking to reimipose that terror upon those people, and to restore Iraq to its former status as an agent and exporter of terror.

The war itself is only a battle in the larger War on Terror, which will be ongoing for a long time ... though on the surface it is a military conflict, it is primarily a contest of ideas ... medieval vs. modern ... facist vs. democratic.

Saddam's Iraq supported and sponsored and instigated terror throughout the world.

The new Iraq fights and will continue to fight terror.

The world is full of harsh realities ... it is the way of life.

Many good men and women have wished it were otherwise, and have died trying to make it so. They each have made a difference, small or large.

We eitiher let evil shape the future, or we stand up and take the reins in hand and do our best to shape it ourselves.

It ain't pretty, but it's glorious and noble and really the only game in town.

Ringo, you seem much to thoughtful to be a liberal.

You must be familiar with the term "hyperbole". You know, it's a gross exaggeration to make a point. Have a good look at which party uses hyperbole almost exclusively.

Read a few of the Howard Dean transcripts out there and weigh then against the facts. He said that "the conservative Supreme Court" decided Kelo vs New London, for example. This is based on the fact that 5/9ths of the SCOTUS is considered "conservative", yet the FOUR liberal judges and one brain damaged one voted for it. It's a outright lie, but technically "true" if you do somersaults and look at his statement in a bizarre way.

Read what Rush said. Your political allies take glee in anything that harms Bush, including the body count in Iraq. Hell, some of you still talk about Bush choking on that pretzel and send him bags of Rold Gold.

You said that if you are wrong, you will correct yourself and move on. Take a good, hard look at what each party is doing / enabling, and make that decision. For someone like you (from what I can tell), the decision will be a simple one.

" They spent millions!! " .... and all was a lose, because they were not in touch with the American people.

" They spent millions!! " thinking, that trowing more money at a problem ( this has been a liberal idea for a long time ) will make it go away, or make it better, it DIDN'T and it WON'T.
What they fail to see, is ? that the moral values of the normal and average Americans that have been cherished for so long in this country is what have made us strong and prosperous.

" They spent millions!! " .... and still lost, but, their money went back into our economy.
Proverbs chapter 13 verse 22 : Verse 22: A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. or ? in other words, the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the just and righteous.

My nephew was in Iraq this passed year, and the last few months of last year, and he is a US MARINE.
He was in the battle of Fallujha, and he got ambushed by these terrorist/ragheads ( in which ? who the liberals/democrats are on the side with ) in Iraq and got hit by 5 bullets, one pierced his arm, and 4 bullets hit his chest, but, he was wearing his bullet proof vest.
I saw him about 2 months ago, and he is doing fine now, and he showed me his Purple Heart metal.
It was HIS choice to go into the Marines, this is still a voluntary military.
I just don't know why the liberals/MSM just don't get that, but, they do, it's just ? wrong war, wrong time, because of WHO is in power the White House and Congress , you can bet that if it was a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT President they would be all in favor of this war ( in spite of the anti war BS ) why do you think ? most Americans loath them, and ignore them ?

Soldiers in Iraq aren't dying to protect our freedom. Oil companies are making record profits while Americans fill up their suv's, insuring that terrorists will be around for a long time. Bush holds hands with Saudi dictators, while U.S. soldiers have to do without proper equipment, getting killed as a result of our government's reluctance to back alternative means of energy. Bush vacations for weeks on end, intent on living his life, while soldiers barely out of their teens come home paralyzed for the rest of their lives, lucky if they get their share of the govt. cheese. Are you including these brave men when you talk about social parasites? When did white become black for you? When will you snap out of your unconscious state and realize that the freedoms that we American's once took for granted have slowly disappeared? It seems that many people like you could care less about what our founding fathers believed in. And when we finally become a total police state, with our former freedoms a topic that we can only whisper to each other about, perhaps then you'll understand why so many people fear Bush and his corporate puppet masters. Yes, I know I'm rambling, but I'm not sitting around waiting for a govt, check, nor do I know anyone who is. Mentally I'm as sound, perhaps more, than you. I only hope you wake up soon.

I just hope RUSH learns the lesson that Samson learned from falling in love with the Philistine woman ( enemy ).
Don't flirt or fall in love with the women of the enemy.

The Story of Samson and Delilah
Judges 16:4-22 (King James Version)

4And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.

5And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

6And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.

7And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withs that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.

8Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withs which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.

9Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.

10And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.

11And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.

12Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.

13And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.

14And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.

15And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.

16And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;

17That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.

18And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.

19And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.

20And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.

21But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

My mom and dad grew up as Democrats ( I don't know if I can put them in the category as Liberals , it's just, what has been instilled in them from birth, you know, the FDR generation )... and so, like wise, I grew up in their house only believing and knowing what they knew.
Many voters today vote like that, " I have always voted this way, because my parents voted this way " and I never had my own thinking, and own views, so I just went with the flow.

That all changed when I became a Born Again Christian.
After years of learning the Bible, and Knowing Christ, my views, ideas, ideology started to change, and one day, " I SAW THE LIGHT " ..... and I was transformed.
My mind and heart were unshackled and I understood the other side's views, ideas, beliefs, ideology, so on and so on, and have never turned back.
What I once thought was good, what I once thought was the truth, what I once believed in, what I once thought was noble, now ? I think differently.
I had a change of heart, I am able to think on my own, to develop views and ideas on my own, and I think ? that is the hallmark of conservative thinking in harmony with our traditional valves.

Just yesterday, I was listening to Rush.
There was a woman that came on, and Rush was very polite with her, and she is a Liberal Democrat, but, she admitted, that she was starting to have a change of heart.
She feels that after listening to Rush for a long time, that she is starting to change, and you could hear her start to cry over the air, because of her decision.
Yes, sometimes, it can be a agonizing decision to make, in what you once thought was true, what you once believed in , what you once thought was noble, and now ? you have to change your thinking and point of view.

A lot of Republicans now, were ex liberal/democrats, and had a change of heart, a agonizing decision to make, and saw the error of their ways and " SAW THE LIGHT " and finally started to understand, and see things the way conservatives did, and never looked back.
Some ex liberals/democrats have a advantage, because, they can see ( Liberals views/ideas/ideology ) it from a different perspective.
I am thankful that I am able to share my experience to others.

Anyone who can view objective reality, draw rational conclusions based on sound reasoning and cherish Liberty cannot be liberal. To be liberal you must put emotion above reason, the State above the individual and be driven by Envy of those who make $1 more than them or is otherwise happy. Liberals are a contemptible lot, whose purpose is to rule others through the evil oppressiveness of Political Correctness, through the State enslaving us with high taxes and insane regulations and making us feel guilty about being proud Americans. As I get older, I despise Liberals more because their goal is to destroy this Republic and morph into a Socialist hellhole.
