thanks for your post - I do worry that adding too much from a Slate or LA Times article will harm Jim Robinson...that is why we MUST excerpt.

That's a "Hold Muh Beer" picture if I've ever seen one.
If you stage a protest as a grieving mom, and end up looking like Harry Reasoner, you might be a redneck resistor sister.

We know that Cindy and her ragtag band of geriatric hippies have got to be way, way out there in far left field. If Slate does a put-down of them they are definitely radioactive!

No it's not an insult to Lyndon La Rouche. You are probably too young to remember when he linked the Queen of England to the Atlanta child murders.
Insult? no...

The bottom line, IMO, is money. Fundraising opportunities like this don't come around too often.

Slate obviously intends to survive, as a newspaper -- and this is why they publish the perfectly sound thoughts of Mr. Hitchens.

New huh? Well it's never a liability when someone makes an argument. The problem is most liberals have a real argument (not the screaming kind), or solution...only rants. We have had our grief with Hitch on many issues, but at least you know where he stands.

Geez, been watching MSM have you? Another spanking new one... what a coincidence!
Well, welcome to FR...we are family here.
We do lots of research here and recover loads of news and documents that the lazy or reluctant MSM choose not to either find or report. We always love the facts and no spin... for good or ill, regardless of the party affiliation. Since we don't get that, we find it ourselves and discuss.
Again, welcome to FR.

Most Dems who are seriously interested in keeping their jobs or in running for office are distancing themselves from Sheehan. They know the reason they haven't been able to win against Republicans is because they allowed the left to take over their party and they are running scared. Dem operatives at this point are like a stuntman with one foot on the roof of a car driving down the street and the other foot on the roof of another car driving next to it -- and he feels the two cars starting to veer apart.
They're trying to figure out how to land...

That's what I like about him. He never tries to please anyone. If you don't like him, he doesn't give a rats a$$.
